I like people like that. The ones who don't bother flaunting how intelligent they are, but when you talk to them, you don't expect it, and you're like, "Woah. Goddamn."
Yes, smart but not pretentious. I hate pretentious people.

Although I am very pretentious on this website :D But that's ok. People think I'm totally dumb irl, I need to compensate I think, lol

Me on here is the real me. Sometimes in front of strangers, I might act extra passive due to my social anxiety, but once you get to know me, the way I am on here is how I really am.
Same. Although about being pretentious. I do talk a lot about what I've learned, at school or through experience, in books or by meeting other people, and my purpose is more to share these discoveries or beautiful things about the world (like maths :p) with other people to help them realize these things as well. I don't care if someone thinks I'm smart or not, because I feel how I feel, but if I can teach someone something, it is in their interest, not mine. That's why deep down I don't think I'm pretentious either x) But I appear that way a lot. IRL I am much more silent because I don't like talking so I am not the easiest to get to know, but with time it's possible. You'll see when you see me :D

Yeah, pretty much the same. I'm a lot more silent IRL too. But that's mostly because I don't meet too many intelligent people, especially being an addict. Other addicts are mainly the company I keep and they're not very bright.

Funny dream... I had a dream once that a whole lot of ladybug were attack me as I tried to get away I looked back and the lady bugs were turning into snakes my roommate had to wake me cause I was jump on the bed freaking out yelling at her to get on the bed. I just remember laughing at it I mean common ladybugs aren’t dangerous and they cannot change into snakes

Okay, so I heard some of you have missed my philosophical questions, so they're back!

However, that's not the only topic today. You can choose between answering the questions or telling us about an interesting or funny dream you've had in the past. Your choice.
  • Is it better to be respected or liked? What about feared or liked?
  • Have we become less happy in this age of technology?
  • Is having a big ego a negative trait of positive trait?
  • Does life require a purpose and a goal?
  • Is it easier to love or to be loved?
  • Do acts of kindness have a motive?
  • Are people in this current generation less or more sensitive than people from past generations?
  • Why do we strive for perfection if it is not attainable?

It depends upon who's doing the respecting or liking. Being liked is not good for me if I am coming from it being a need or lack within myself
A big ego is negative. There is more than one kind of ego---it has a place and need in this life---keeps the soul in the body
Life requires you to participate, your Dharma, so goal and purpose included in that....
Love is the driving force of Life and human incarnation, it happens as a constant state if you can achieve connection into the space with your mind and experientially
Sensitivity as I observe has changed in part of the population for a variety of reasons, some have increased awareness/connection and others decreased/disconnected/not aware so the chasm appears larger to me
Perfection is a manmade concept.....I try hard to remember this when I get into comparing myself to others for whatever reason....
Happy Day beautiful beings

1) I’d rather be respected but I wouldn’t want to be feared but not necessarily liked.

2) I think we have become less happy. It puts pressure on us socially. It’s even worse for kids these days though because it’s all they know. At least I had a childhood,

3) I think having a big ego is a negative trait. It’s perfectly fine to know that you’re good at something but you don’t have to be a dick about it either.

4) I think we do need a purpose in life otherwise we feel lost and don’t know what we’re living for.

5) I think it’s easier to love.

6) I don’t think acts of kindness need to have a motive. Things like holding the door, saying hello to someone etc. Doesn’t mean there’s a motive.

7) I do think younger generations are more sensitive but I don’t think it’s their fault. We are so absorbed in technology and social media these days that young people and even people my age feel pressure to look and act a certain way when really it’s nit actually realistic to sustain or achieve.

8) I think a lot of what I’ve said above answers this question also.

Good day cafe goers!! On day 2 of my trip to Cyprus and have been to the beach today!

Is it better to be respected or liked? What about feared or liked?
- Depends on the person you're interacting with. Generally speaking, preferred to be respected and feared in most cases as it means less likelihood of people trying to "piss on you."

Have we become less happy in this age of technology?
- Definitely, mainly because of the misuse and false expectations it brings

Is having a big ego a negative trait of positive trait?
- To have self confidence and belief in oneself is a good thing. But when it gets big and out of control, then that's when the problems start.

Does life require a purpose and a goal?
I would think so, otherwise it could be considered to be a bit of a waste of unfulfilled potential.

Is it easier to love or to be loved?
- Easier to love. It's comparably easier to control your emotions rather than someone else's in this case.

Do acts of kindness have a motive?
- Yes, majority you're doing it for the benefit of the recipient, in some cases it will be for yourself as well either to make yourself feel good or in the hope of experiencing some good Karma further on down the line.

Are people in this current generation less or more sensitive than people from past generations?
- I'd say probably more sensitive

Why do we strive for perfection if it is not attainable?

Because we are succumbed by our desires, no matter what we have, majority of people will also be wanting more or that something else. It's the way we've been programmed and or influenced by society in general.

Lol. You're the only other one who said feared besides me. High five.
