i wanted to keep my initials, "JV" as theyre pretty iconic so, "javelin" was in my head bc i was playing dnd earlier and it was an item one of the party members was making a deal about, and "vulture" was the first word i thought of that started with "v"

One of my favourite detectives, from the 1981-91 series, entitled 'Bergerac', filmed in Jersey, starring John Nettles. The avatar is of one of the ports in that particular channel island.

I think I may have written this before, but what the heck lol. ;)

I don't even remember 😂 I made this account when I was 18, I'm now 28. I think I chose it because when I was that age I daydreamed a lot so I spose I thought it summed me up well, daydreaming a lot = like being "lost in a fairytale" ....or maybe it was because when I was a kid I loved fairytales and fables especially when they went wandering through the woods and got lost.... all guess work who knows.... maybe I chose the name for both of those reasons 😂

It's really cliched, but for as long as I can remember I've felt like an alien, with an alien mind and alien thoughts. Not literally - just in the sense of being different on a very fundamental level. It makes me sad, and I hope someday I will be able to connect with people.

I couldn't think of a particular username, so I found a random online username generator by a Google search, and Diesional was one of the first names that came up for some reason. It was memorable enough and struck me as being somewhat appropriate to the forum I was just joining and why. I think on some level my decision to pick the name was an acknowledgment of the idea that maybe my suicidal ideation wasn't right. "Diesional" seems like a goofy little portmanteau of "die" and "delusional", so it was like a nod to the part of me that wanted to prevail and could admit I need help.
Hi that’s a nice sentiment at the end. Also really like your signature quote. Nodding here.

I have asked various organisations for help, including my council landlord, various mental health services and so far all those have screwed me over.

My usernsme is how I feel, and I picked a number that’s significant in my life, regards dates things happened (losing someone, moving house, that sort of thing).

I am Angie, bet I type that in chat about a zillion times over 10 or so years. So, considering I don't type as well as I used to, I just changed texaskitty to Angie, actually thats a nick, I am really Angela. Never was called Angela except by my mother until the last year or so when I started seeing so many more doctors.
Remember the time you reminded me of TexasKitty and thought y’all would get on! 😂

Pretty much sums up how I feel a lot of the time.

Otiose -
  • Lazy; indolent.
  • Of no use; pointless or superfluous.
  • Ineffective; futile.
Hey, welcome to SF. I'm sorry to hear you're feeling that way. You might want to start a thread in the about me section if you'd like to talk about what's going on. We're here to listen. *hug

And hey, thanks for the new vocabulary :)

It's about how I felt for a large part of my life, how I lived and live. But the true inspiration is from Johnny Cash cover which I listen for the first time on one of my favourite episode of Stargate Atlantis.

I have a character that i used to represent myself in small comics or illustrations. They have a five pointed star on their head with one point going through it. The star's supposed to give them special abilities and crap. Because they got the star from it striking them on the head from falling out of the sky, they've gotten the nickname Struck.
