I have always tried to avoid dealing with my grief issues. At the time of these deaths I chose alcohol as my coping mechanism; I chose to forget and block out the pain rather that face it head on and process the emotions involved.
I had three deaths occur with an 18 month period. How have any of you learned to process these and allow yourself to move on from the death of a loved one? Are you still dealing with them? If you had "issues" with someone who passed, have you forgiven them?
I would think after 9-10 years I would be over it by now. I'm not. These are still very sensitive subjects for me. I don't know if I just over dramatize everything and make it out worse than it has to be. I've been told that I am just too sensitive.
I can't help that I genuinely care and feel love toward basically everyone I meet, be it in real life or online to people I have never met personally. It is my desire that any and every person I have contact with to be happy, to feel accepted, and to feel loved. I think it's because I desire these feelings for myself but for some reason they are unobtainable for me.
Is it possible to care too much?
