Yeah, it’s exactly the toxicity that brings me in. I gave up booze but I still want a dopamine hit. I enjoy the righteous indignation of being angry at the other side, and that gives my brain the rush that it wants.
But that enjoyment leaves me feeling awful because it is not consistent with my core value of Compassion. I want to help people, rather than to try and feel better by putting myself above others. I hope that isn’t too muddled. It’s late and my brain is done.
