Well now on Day 12...made long car rides to classes (1 hour each way) granted ate tons of baby carrots and some relatively low carb chips (will have to cut those out I know)...congrats to all who are getting there...progressing as quitters etc etc...know that we can do this :)
you're almost at the 2 week mark is it getting a little easier?

It seems that I have massive willpower ..lol I quit smoking 29 years ago...just..like..that! Kicking the habit was easy for me for some strange reason . No cravings . I know how hard it is for you guys and I wish you the best of luck . My Husband kicked the fags too and is a Vaper for about 3 years and happy with it as it is a lot cheaper .

Today is the first day since quitting completely that I've felt some discomfort, headache, coldlike symptoms etc. I suppose it could just be a normal cold but since it's been about 3 days since my last cigarette I guess now is really where any withdrawal symptoms would kick in.

I am not tempted to smoke at all yet, but I would like to feel better and not so fragile/fatigued and anxious.

Today and yesterday I've suddenly wanted to smoke so so so bad. I was sitting in a car with a smoker for a few minutes so maybe that was it but holy hell I could buy a whole pack. (I'm on at least 3 months right now so not expecting this to have happened)

it takes time don't give up now you're off to a good start. I don't think cold symptoms are related to quitting but I could be wrong so ask other people in this thread. keep trying it does get easier soon. mike *hug

you are one of the ones that told me 1 cig is bad, I listened we look up to you. we all get some craving once in a while but it's usually minor. please stay strong matt if you go down others could. I know you can do this, you know we care. p.s. it would really suck losing 3 months and have to start all over again.

So I get this. Oh how I get this. You got this man. Remember why you quit. I know it's not easy though. I mean don't use me as an example of what to do here. Random craving seem to come out of nowhere at times. Again, remember why you quit.

Did you experience symptoms of withdrawal the first month?
Well you're not really withdrawing off any substance for an entire month. All that cranky bitchy want to punch people for no reason thing isn't actually withdrawal haha but yeah I had some of that for a short while.
But - I am also completely removed from other smokers and that really helped. Probably more than anything else. Huge help there and might not be possible for others. It kept me from smoking again and from dragging out the time to be bitchy about not smoking both.

Are you sweating the actual withdrawal feelings most of all right now?

I started smoking again about a month ago due to my anxiety being really out of control, I was using it as a coping mechanism, now I'm quitting again. It's going to be hard but I'll do it. Self control will be needed.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that @Petal You know, I get the feeling you're not the smoking type. (Is there a "type"? That's kind of rude to say but *I* am "the type) Anyway, you are all health kick guru around here and smoking doesn't fit your style. Better to try to kick sooner rather than later, right?
How long have you not been smoking for?
