Just rolled two last cigarettes, then dumped out the rest of what I had into the trash. Now, if I ever want "just one more" I'll have to spend money on it, which I'm unlikely to do.

Anyway, now it felt like my choice, rather than the world telling me I couldn't, which is easier to live with, going forward.

And, by the time I was done smoking the second one, they were kinda gross and I didn't want anymore anyway.

Yeah, not the whole day, just about 15 mins. I fell for the just one idea. I feel yukky....smoke filling my lungs and house all stuffy. I forgot how horrible it is . Planning on quitting again tomorrow
Relapses are never fun when it comes to self-esteem. But the silver lining is that you can make how gross you feel rn into a teachable moment, you can remind yourself of this unpleasant feeling the next time you get a craving. *hug10

You can do this. *hug Relapsing happens, but it doesn't mean you failed and doesn't have to happen again. Tomorrow is another day.

Soooo while we are admitting things, I may have found a pack while I was cleaning and I definitely didn't throw them away and I may have smoked some (most) of them. Ducky really needed them.

I'm wondering if I should chain smoke the second pack tonight to make myself thoroughly sick. Aversion therapy

Ultimately, you're going to know what works best for you, so if you think that genuinely could help to reinforce the negative associations which will help you ward off future cravings, then i can respect that. My only question would be (and please don't think i'm trying to tell you your own thoughts here), are you certain that you'd be doing it primarily to make yourself hate it, or would it be possible that you were doing it because that's what you in some ways wanted to do, and this would just give you a good reason?

Good question and thanks for making me think. I'm sure that i would only chain smoke a pack to deliberately make myself feel ill, which I know it will because I already feel horrible after smoking the first pack

Amazingly enough, thinking about smoking another whole pack tonight and how sick it would make me feel has killed the desire to smoke at all.

I'm hesitating to throw the unopened pack down the toilet, but if I can do that i will beat this.I

ETA I just threw the tobacco from them all over the weeds in the garden to poison them instead of me . At 03.20 AM. All gone! Thanks @Cynic Goat :)

Well done, i think that's probably the choice for the best, and i really respect you managing to do that. I'm really glad that the thought of how rough that pack would make you feel you helped you get off the smokes, here's hoping it sticks this time. *hug*bravo
For what it's worth, for me it was the relapse that made the quitting stick, so there's every chance this was just the final push you needed to kick it for good. :)
