Still my favorite movie of all time. My grandma almost died from hand to hand combat in the Battle Of The Bulge so the end always makes me cry. He was never the same and died when I was young and really didn’t get to know him.
I liked that one because of him surviving, not that he was never the same or that you did not get to know him. My dad was WWII but Navy in the Pacific he was only in one big battle, the Battle of Samar where a lot of US ships were sunk and many died, he died when I was about to turn 9 in 1972, so I never got to know him much and regret he never lived to get to know my nephew, his grandson.

I was Navy too in the first Gulf War and a few other locations I can’t mention. Fair Winds And Following Seas to your dad!!! I’m sorry you didn’t get to know him either.

Thank you for your service and kind words. You were Navy so I would not be surprised if you have heard of the Battle of Samar, he was on the USS Gambier Bay, escort carrier that was sunk and part of Taffy 3. My brother and I researched a bit about his military time.

The Navy in WWII was a far cry from the Navy I was in. I watch the shows and think about if that was my ship. Anything I did paled in comparison to what I saw/did.

Started watching anime, never really got into it before. Blew through "Berserk" in two days, cool main character and it does a great job of making the show light-hearted while at the same time having extremely disturbing themes. Absolutely do not watch it if you're sensitive about anything. Am about to binge watch Naruto and Naruto shippuden, should take one or two weeks. Ignoring the movies and OVs or whatever they're called. It's more suitable to watch for kids and more sensitive ppl, it's basically a kid's show. I watched some of it when I was ten or something, but never understood anything since I didn't really gain the capacity to understand movies or shows until basically yesterday (neither did I know English, haha).
