How about if we do: Favorite movies you've ever seen? Could be one that just came out. Or one that came out before you were even born! Or you can pick some-thing else, of yours that is a favorite to talk about (music / books / etc.). :^)

For me the Big 3 will always be, as of now; & that means today! ah, um..? I don't know~ (why do you have to go asking me these IMPOSSIBLE Questions to answer?) *hint, it's not Mission Impossible. -though I was happy to see he cast jennifer connelly, I did not see that one, nor many or most of his most recent, 'Missions.' I'm sure they're (all) brilliamt!~* :D

My favorite movies are Little Miss Sunshine and in second place, What About Bob? I'm not positive of third. I'm a big Wes Anderson fan, but I'm not sure which one I'd put on top. I also just recently was reminded of the movie Lars and the Real Girl when it came up in a discussion in my social psychology class. I remember really loving it when I saw it, but it's been a while, and I need to rewatch it soon.

What about Bob was the type of movie I used to like (not that I don't - I just haven't seen it in years. Like galaxy Quest which was a spoof on Star Trek. Now I like action adventure movies and my attention span is growing short so that i only watch movies that are under 2 hours. But i like the Reacher series on Prime which are shorter than the books but just as good.

Well, my favourite movie is easy - Oldboy (the Korean one). Second favourite is probably the Hateful Eight, Tarantino's most slow-burn, character-driven film. My third favourite is probably Cube. (Yknow, i'm noticing the pattern that these are all really violent. I swear that's not why i like them, directors telling complex stories with nuanced characters just also tend to employ a lot of violence *hiding)

Thanks for tagging me @JMG, and thanks for opening the cafe @MisterBGone. Solid question today, everyone's always keen to talk about their favourite bits of media, cos it's basically a microcosm of their overall personality. ;)

That's a great point, @Lisa the Goatgirl ! & I had not ever thought of it that way before--but you're right, they do-do that, to a certain extent (whether we are aware of it, or not?). :-D I used to always answer top films/movies by giving a standard answer of 3: hence, what I was going to start to do there, but it would usually be: Ikiru, 8 1/2 & Barry Lyndon (or some other Kubrick movie). ;) Now on occasion if it was Not going to be so narrow (of) a "scope," it MIGHT encompass or include, the following: Persona/Late Spring/probably something by Luis Bu`nuel & David Lynch. Right now, I have a tendency towards Sofia (sophia?) Coppola/Copolla! :D

Lots of great movies that I have not seen in quite some time. And some others I've been wanting, or meaning to see. . ; )

That's a nice story too, @1Lefty ~on your wife. :) that's another thing I like about movies or film, is that like w/music, & maybe it's because they penetrate the subconscious I don't know... but they do have a tendency to time-stamp, certain "moments," & 'memories,' in our lives~ ;)
