I miss having a decent amount of time to spend on myself alone - whatever I want to do, even if it's nothing. I'm always working, or sleeping like the dead, or doing chores the kids should have done.

I miss the companionship of my oldest (now married) daughter. She's happy in her marriage and I wouldn't take it all back, I just miss her conversations and emotional support and encouragement.

I miss the higher income of my last job (tho I hated the job), not to mention, having health insurance.

I miss the energy and ambition I had when I was younger... oh how I miss it!

I miss the person I know myself as, I miss days where thoughts of suicide didn't break in at odd moments and trip me up, I miss the people who loved me and the people I loved or wanted to love. I miss believing that there is good in the world and good in myself that can overcome. I miss believing in anything, in myself, in people, in the future. I miss wearing short sleeves. I miss the feeling of having a place or a person to call home. I miss being able to remember things from one moment to the next. I miss things I never had and never will have.

I miss my lover. I miss him like hell. I'd give just about anything for him to be here right now and reassure me with something, anything. but he deserves better than me and it's pretty obvious. and i have to concentrate on putting my life right before i deserve his love.
i would give anything to have him in my arms.

I miss the feeling of being loved and accepted for who you are. I miss having someone who holds me close, I miss having someone to talk to, I miss the way he looked at me, I miss the ability to have feelings..

oh dear whatve i done to this thread..
i'm pining at the moment. i've had someones constant companionship for nearly a year and now i'm having to face shit on my own. because i know i'm not going to sort out the important things for myself so long as i go to sleep every night with someone else.
so i'm missing my lover really badly. i still wake up in the middle of the night in a panic but now theres nobody to turn and hold into the crook of my arm and whisper that i am afraid.

Moved to Turkey from England six months ago and miss:

Being wet and cold
People moaning and saying, still mustn't grumble, there's always someone worse off than yourself
Standing in a queue
Being familiar with everything
Being one of the crowd
Good cheese and chip butties
Coronation Street
The grittiness of the people
The bitching media

Being young and attractive
Forget old and wise - it stinks

All I have to look forward to is piles, incontinence, varicous veins and rotting teeth.
