Two points:

1) I find it difficult to believe that somebody can go through life and never meet a woman just because they are shy. I'm really shy but I've met women who've made me feel relaxed and comfortable. No, I think if you go through life and never date, there's something else there (which I'm not even going to attempt to describe in my case).

Speaking as a real life 40 year old virgin you're wrong. I worked in a firm with many women for over 15 years and never even came close.Its very easy to remain a single man as women never ever speak first and you soon get classified as a weirdo and to be avoided anyway which makes the nerves even worse. Perhaps you weren't really that shy or you would not be able to relax and feel comfortable in the first place.

I would say that too. Been in a few relationships and still in one. It's good to have some relationships but it is really way overrated.
