last monday I was staring into space & i was staring at the trash can & i see the girl i liked looking at me while she was walking over to throw something in the trash can. Then later I was staring at the wall & when i look over she was Leaning her Head Against her Hand While looking at me & smiling. Then on Wednesday i heard her saying ” i don’t know why he looks at me.

Um I might be missing something but I'm not sure it didn't actually happen?
Assuming it happened (otherwise listen to ^) ...Idk to be perfectly honest she may have noticed you look at her, so she might be smiling bc she feels uncomfortable. A lot of people default-smile when they're awkward. Or she might just smile a lot at everyone. Or she might be genuinely leading you on. Or she might even like you a little?
Regardless of why she smiled, I'd bet a lot of money that she knows why you're always looking at her. From my experience the 'Idk why he...' usually means 'I think he likes me look at x behavior what do you guys think?' Like I've literally had a friend say, 'Idk why my friend keeps trying to get me alone in his dorm to watch things late at night' and we were like....yeah what could that *possibly* mean? So afaik it's just a way girls bring up guys that they think are into them.
