[*]Are you Childfree? Why?

Yes. At first, it was not by choice. I did want sex (and eventually got it) when I was younger but had enough sense to use birth control.

Now? It's a choice. I'd probably have a hard time finding a woman even if I wanted one but I choose not to even bother. Most women want children and I simply don't. I think there are enough people on this planet with too many problems to solve and not enough effort put into solving them. Just mindless reproduction. I want no part of it. I won't contribute to a society that Shuns people who have problems society can't (and won't) deal with in an intelligent and humane fashion.

It is a very good thing. More people should choose not to produce more batteries (Matrix reference) until society fixes the aforementioned problems and stops treating the least of us like garbage. Until it realizes that people who have problems aren't trash and everyone is worth something. Until then, society deserves to be deprived of it's fuel source.

If you are childfree what methods do you use to remain that way?

Most of the time, I just don't have sex. I have two working hands and an imagination. If I have sex, condoms are cheap and there are other ways to have sex besides penile/vaginal.

-Yes. Because in no way in the world do I want to raise a child. I'd probably do it harm because I need lots of quiet time and I need my space. I think children are fascinating but to raise a child, have to go through screaming, yelling, brattishness....no.

Right now I feel extreme loneliness which aggravates my depression. I don't have any friends or any one to talk to so I rely on my family. But still it depresses me that I have no one else. What will I do when I became old myself and have no one to talk to ? I just don't have the ability to make genuine friends let alone make ANY friends.
