Cooking with oil or butter, which is healthy?

Honestly I have been experimenting food that doesn't make me sick and however little I have found, it will accumulate. Its just to slow down gastritis, I honestly find very suitable incorporating dairy ingredients than with oil. I do not do best with oily foods.

I don't understand why would some of my family argue butter is bad? Look I am happy to have found 3 favourite foods I like even if i have lost the cravings for wanting salt & sweet. 😺

I am incorporating dairy and experimenting chicken, will explore fish next and always drink milk or milo after.

Technically, neither is very healthy...unless you're using very small portions of them. The healthiest options are to either bake your food in the oven or use cooking spray instead of butter.

Vegetable oil is the healthier option in terms of fat, cholesterol and triglycerides, and canola oil is probably the best type of veg oil (as opposed to corn, sunflower, etc ).
mines not in terms of fat though. just trying to find food that wont trigger gastritis, so far its weird that dairy is better than oils. but any new ideas i will give it a try.

My rule of thumb is to use butter and olive oil where possible. If I'm frying chicken (I don't eat red meat) I use butter, if it's fish then olive oil. I avoid all the others. These days butter gives me heartburn if I add it to food and also I heard you should avoid dairy because it can cause inflammation in the body. Have a google to see which oils to avoid. Some like sunflower sound healthy but they're not.

Thats the thing, everyone's body is different. It's weird when I take dairy in moderation, my body apparently accepts it. I'd get sick from anything oil. Unless I'll try to experiment more with oil cause I am still experimenting food for which my body speaks to agree. It's quite challenging though. I fear my infection stool test by my GI will be normal, cause I am sensing this has been permanent cause according to my tastebuds, it doesn't reverse back to my old healthy appetite?.

I agree, we're all different and some people just can't tolerate butter. My son has a very varied diet and he uses avocado oil and olive oils mostly. He keeps varying things for his gut. Maybe for you the answer is to keep the use of oil to a bare minimum?

yeaa i also suspect that maybe I am just all about moderation.(literally small haha) like if you notice in my picture, my body accepts 'cereal bar' than cereals, doesn't mean I can't entirely eat sweet because then why I can still eat small ice cream?

Same here, I can eat the bars but not ice cream! Ice cream is dairy but a lot of other stuff too and cereal bars are a lot of sugar. You know dates are really good to eat if you need something sweet and they have lots of good energy not processed sugar. Or look for some recipes and make your own cereal bars. I keep meaning to do that but I haven't got around to it yet! :D

In Chinese dietary therapy, there is a syndrome known as "Liver Depression, Stomach Heat", which sounds like it might be similar to what you've got. However, in addition to meat and bread/grains, nuts are also supposed to be a problem, so it doesn't exactly match up.

It depends on the oil you choose.
Here's what I have found over the years and then ended up using or not using for cooking and eating.
Canola oil; my reading shows it's not meant for humans. It was created via crossbreeding to rid it of toxic erucid acid from the rapeseed plant and then renamed.
Vegetable oils can be soybean oil and/or corn based which are genetically modified food now and contain chemicals unless organic.
Avocado oil....several are not truly pure avocado. I use it in uncooked recipes like salad dressing etc.
Coconut oil for cooking some things. High smoke point.
I don't use grapeseed oil any longer although it has a higher smoke point.
Good extra virgin olive oils. Taken unheated are good. When heat is applied it changes the way the body absorbs and metabolizes it. Some companies dilute their olive oil.
Unsalted butter and salted butter have milk solids and chemicals in them unless organic. I heat my butter (clarify) so that the solids rise to the top of the pot and then I scoop them off so that mostly pure oil remains. This is also called ghee which can be bought off the shelf.

or do you think I maybe sensitive to gluten that have in wheat? I've just been researching, cause I have been wondering that I can't be all sensitive to whole grains if I can modified those into bland diets.
