Audition(1999) movie.

A widower who is a film producer does auditions but the part is find a wife. Starts out like a romantic comedy until the woman he picks turns out be someone who is nucking futs and is handy with a long steel needles and a piano wire bone saw from previous experience. She has a thing about a man loving her, only her and nobody else on Earth. Worst movie for feet since Misery.

I'm always reminded of the scene, where & in which; she's sitting alone... in the dark... on the floor, head down (hair covering her eyes & face) - then with the phone just sitting there . . . in the center of the room! (Not to mention the mysterious motionless~ "bag," off-to-the-side?)_ : ) 'good times!' ;^)

I also used to joke with someone. That -that, "was She!" (or like her..;)) when in which, she'd be sitting by--& waiting by the phone (for me to call!)..:D -& then of course; I never would? ;) _took her awhile, to let-that-one Go~. :) (in spite of her, not having seen anything but- the trailer/or previews, at that point; beyond my mere description of said scene & scenario!) :D ^so who knows how 'thick,' I laid it on?.? ;D knowing both Her--and ME: (back~then)* it could've been quite, "Over-the-top!!!" :-D As we were both, "borderline-insane!" (as opposed to now!) . . (^;

And then the scene/dream scene? Where out the bag it comes missing body parts and being fed what nobody would want to know.

The Man with Two Brains - 1983
Film

Dr. Micheal is a brilliant but widowed brain surgeon who gets seduced by and marries Dolores a scheming gold-digger. Whilst the two are on holiday in Vienna Dr Micheal meets and falls in love with a bottled brain in the lab of a mad scientist taking advantage of the left-overs of a local serial killer who's MO is to inject his victims with a poison which causes the brain to die last.

This is vintage Steve Martin, the kind of crazy you cant get away with nowadays and energy levels to match, insane and hilarious, definitely worth a watch.

The Coca-Cola Kid (1985 Film)

The Coca-Cola Kid is about an American marketing executive (played by Eric Roberts) of the Coca-Cola company who visits their Australian operations in Sydney to figure out why a small corner of Australia has so far, resisted all of Coke's products.

There, he encounters an independent soft drink company run by an old eccentric who has been successfully fending off the American brand name products.

This film also has subplots involving an office lady's violent ex-Husband, the executive's search for the "Australian Sound" and a hotel waiter who thinks the marketing executive is a secret agent.

The Killer John Woo.jpg

Chow Yun-Fat is a mobster hitman who accidentally blinds a innocent bystander a woman who is a singer when she gets caught in the middle of a gun battle between himself and other gangsters and spends the rest of the movie trying to raise money for an eye operation to restore her sight. In one scene a child gets injured and he risks being captured by the police or killed to see she gets medical attention that saves her life. The police officer hunting him describes him as a killer but with a sense of honor for risking his life to save the child. Like John Woo movies plenty of action and firearms that never need to be reloaded.

Pink Floyd: The Wall (1982 Film)

For those who have seen it, this film needs no introduction, but for the benefit of those who are unfamiliar with it, (and those who welcome a friendly reminder) Pink Floyd: The Wall, (based on the 1979 concept album of the same name) is about a burned out rock and roll superstar named Pink, (played by Bob Geldof) who has had too many shows, too much applause and too much dope.

Somewhere in Los Angeles, he sits in a locked hotel room, where he gradually descends into insanity, where twisted fantasy blends with reality,

Dazed and Confused is also a favorite of mine. I remember much of what happened in the film, but I was in junior high instead of high school for that time period.
