At least a couple of months now I've tried to feel and act kindly. I'm not good for much else, though I have done chores like making good food, cleaning & being companionable as I can. I also did the mural wall which looks good I think but it's hard to assess since I'm the one who created it. Being so far away and unable to see any of my family is a strange and sad feeling. I aslo very much miss having a cat & wish I had him back. I've asked about it but pets aren't allowed.
If I go back I wonder if I will have the strength to find work and fix my old junky house. It is in a nice place. It is the only bad looking house there and I know the neighbors hate me becauae I am too poor. So the social situation there is bad because of that. I'm not able to sell it because I wouldn't get enough money to get another place. So I'd end up homeless basically. My daughter can't let me live there becauae her boyfriend has the spare room for his things. & I don't have anyone who'd let me rent a room. My stuff is all at my house crammed into the garden shed. I guess my path has come to a dead end.

Practical advice: I do not know for how much you could sell your house and if you are a kind of "adventurer", But I can tell you, that in Spain you can buy apartments here for 30 to 50.000 EUR. And they are nice. Drawback - you have to learn a new language. And you can visit your family and friends only once or twice a year. Spain is cheap - I live with 20 EUR day average. A lot of English people do the same now (be it ES or PT). House with garden, self sufficient.
Otherwise the idea of renting out a room is a great idea (if going abroad is too much for you).

Thanks @Survivorist . Recently got back from an 8000 km journey that took 28 hours and I am a bit burnt on air travel right now. I need a break. Those are some great prices. I speak a little Spanish so I guess it could be a possibility, someday.
