Ideas & Opinions Emotional Avoidance Through Suicidal Threats During Accountability

#1
what is your deduction of the person's character who uses "suicidal thoughts/acts" as an excuse to get out of conversations that involve him getting confronted for his continuous bad academic performance.
I get it that this might have been very vague, so if you guys need any more particular details to form your opinion then feel free to ask me.

Hello Anteiku, welcome to SF.
what is your deduction of the person's character who uses "suicidal thoughts/acts" as an excuse to get out of conversations that involve him getting confronted for his continuous bad academic performance
My guess would be that the person doing the confrontation would be a parent, and that the suicidal person would be the son/daughter.

So I would guess the son/daughter might be depressed to begin with, which is what is leading to the bed academic performance. Then an aggressive confrontation from the parent pushes the son/daughter to become suicidal.

It's also probably true that aggression from the parent in general is part of why the son/daughter became depressed.

Family counseling might be a way to deal with this.
