I went out for a run to try to feel better. First part of run my right hamstring felt tight, I persevered and got to 1.4 miles when my knee went bad again. Limped over the 1.5 mile mark then walked home. Did some bicep and shoulder curls and side planks.

Managed to complete 8000 steps even before my night walk. Walked around for a bit, then set of jogging slow and steady. Completed 2 MILES RUN. No knee or other pains. No numb leg or back spasms.... I think slowing the pace down really helped, my leg muscles are still capable of running my old pace, and will do so - but my stabilisers and joints have deconditioned, so will have to get their resilience built back up slowly. 2 miles without a major niggle is something. Right hamstring still tight, but might just be road rust....

Completed 38th day of 10,000 steps. Over 200 miles. I might make it fun by thinking of a location to walk to - just been looking at apps for this and they actually exist. Can walk to Mordor (LOTR) or there's one which has things like the Appalachian trail and such. Will download now!

Through tears, emotional collapse and the promise of pain, I put my running kit on and went out. Despite going for a walk earlier and feeling massive hip twinges several times. Ran 2 miles, 12.30 mile/minute pace. Not a single twinge. I might pay for it later, who knows, but so far it's weird I can barely walk, but can run 2 miles trouble free.

Debating whether or not to joing Planet Fitness. Its $15 per month, which i can afford, so what's my excuse? Also, it's a 3 minute drive.

Ive been walking at least every other day, 2 miles before work. But, what am I gonna do when the weather turns cold?

Keep walking! Mind you cold is probably relative, cold here is like a bit chilly, some places actually it properly freezes 😲

A milestone achieved - 2.5 miles continuous running. No pains, barely out of breath, kept pace nice and easy. Half a mile more than last run, longest run in 4 months. Can almost see myself going back to running group and being Ok if I keep the pace sensible. Will have to see how body responds next day, and to another run on Sunday. Also did bicep and shoulder curls, some core work.
