Well....not surprised they are turning the pool down to 80 degrees F.-- believe has been set at about 85- after getting truly eye-popping gas bills for last two months - e.g. basically the entire budget for heating. So I do get it (as our home bill tripled). So now will adjust so swim later in the day when warmer and hopefully sunny. May have to invest in good sunscreen which have avoided by swimming/exercising before11 am... any suggestions (?) And also considering other alternatives... any suggestions(?)

It was put my feet up or go for a run.... Of course I went for the run. 4.5 miles and sprinted up a hill that's been my nemesis many a time - beat the hill by getting an 8 year personal best up it. Next time there will be pressure as my PR was pretty slow 🤣🤣🤣 Now I can feel I've deserved my feet up [vegetable mode engaged] rest of Sunday.

Try a good natural foods store. They have sunscreens without the bad ingredients. They do look a little strange on your skin, a whitish layer. But that is what's blocking the UV. Some of the bad chemicals in regular sunscreens harm fish by getting into and messing up their reproductive cycles.
Also, I've seen people in Australia swimming with long sleeve swim shirts - you could do a search for those?

Thanks those are both good ideas... a few people do swim with long sleeve swim shirts so may look into that. And no worries about visual appearance...as used to use zinc oxide when skied in summers after getting sun poisoning on ear lobes :)

Today only upper 40s, cloudy, so admit didn't go this am to water aerobics... but maybe later in day if sun comes out will give it a try and gets above 50...

7.1 miles run in freezing hailstones, snow, lashing rain, couldn't see for hailstones in my eyes at times, cold winds, should have been hell on earth but I really enjoyed being out there. Soaked to the skin but saves me washing my running kit, just put it out to dry 😂

Got a PR on another hill. I'm not exactly getting faster, but it's getting easier as my weight is finally starting to drop.
