So I saved up and just bought a very lovely vacuum, it can be used on both my carpet and hard floors, and I can switch by pushing a button, it also has a self cleaning brush roll which is freaking awesome. I've already used it and it exceeds all expectations, yes im probably a little too excited over this..
:D It nice to get really good stuff that makes life easier or chores less of a pain!

That's okay - it's nice to celebrate a new purchase that makes your living space nice and is easy to use.

So I got a short-sleeved denim shirt I bought in the main from ChicMe - first time I had ordered from them. I wanted it to wear over tank tops. Anyway it arrived and is 3 sizes too small. I'm going to see if my sister-in-law wants it as she is tiny. Otherwise I will have to return it.

Yay, I got my dark denim jacket today! *bounce I'm so easily excited by buying clothes - maybe because I don't normally buy myself very much! But anyway, I did a bit of retail therapy today and it felt great! I got a pair of very dark trousers similar to ones I put a hole in (I fell on some gravel!) and they fit like a glove. I was delighted! It's really hit and miss without changing rooms. Are changing rooms open in the US and UK??

I've been doing pretty well with losing weight. I cut out sugar and cut down carbs and I can finally get back into my white jeans which is why I wanted the dark wash jacket. For a while there there was only a couple of things that fit and it was seriously getting me down.

Is that jacket the same as yours @Sunspots? There seems to be so many that look the same. God, another thing I noticed in town today (and I was wearing my white denim jacket!) is that everyone seems to be wearing them!! I went into French Connection and they had a very similar jacket for €147 whereas the Next one was €37.

All of this is wonderful! I love shopping too. I'm kind of tapped out at the moment, but it does make me feel good when I find something I look good in. Glad you you got some things you really like!

I don't know if fitting rooms are open in the US. I would say yes, because they've lifted a lot of the mask policies, and a lot of things seem to be going back to some kind of normalcy. I was hoping to go shopping on my bday, which is coming up, and hadn't even thought about the dressing rooms.

Yes, it really lifts the spirits. I suppose if I was shopping all the time for clothes I would be used to it but well, I don't have the money and also I try to make things last...and I'm one of those people that just wears a few things to death. So it's lovely when I do go shopping and find stuff I like. I desperately need shoes but they are a pain to find. I wear trainers mostly now but I need winter boots before mine fall apart. I don't know why I have such a resistance to buying shoes, there's definitely a block in my mind about spending on them.

Oh, my birthday is coming up too - are you a Gemini or Cancerian? Sounds like things are going back to normal pretty quickly over there. If it's jackets I try them in the shops but other things are more risky. I kind of know by looking but the jacket I bought today was a size bigger so that would have been exchanged or sent back in the post if I had ordered it. Hope you find something nice for your birthday @A_J_R !

I'm a Gemini!

I have a tough time with shoes as well, but I think winter stuff might be cheaper now because it's off season? That might help get you looking!

I wish that were true but there's no winter stuff at all. Last year I missed out on a lovely coat in a colour I wanted because I ummed and ahhed a bit too long and it sold it when I went back. So this year I'm going to be on my A game as soon as the winter stock arrives! *dance

If it's not the same one, it's incredibly similar. I've lived in mine since I got it. It's lightweight enough that I can wear it indoors in place of a cardigan.

I've had to buy work clothes for my new job. Everyone in the office seems to wear tailored officewear but it all looks stupid on me. So I've gone a bit more casual and seem to have got away with it. I've bought two linen shift dresses, one plain navy and the other navy with large white polka dots. A pair of tailored cropped linen trousers in navy and a couple of white linen tops. I really struggle with shoes - I have winter boots, trainers or Birkenstocks. Shoes look ridiculous on me - they don't suit my fat ankles and they make my feet look too small. But I found these Hotter shoes and they're soooo comfy.

Love the trainers @Sunspots! Half price, that's pretty good! Love the polka dot dress too. I've been trying on white trainers but none seem to look good on me and I think the ones with a bit of a heel look better too because I'm short. I'm a bit fed up this week because I've put on a couple of pounds and it's made the difference between me feeling good again or feeling like everything is squished and uncomfortable. Then my cousin came over yesterday with a cake! So I have to get some weight off again. God, it's so hard, takes so long and then one or two bad days and it's going on again *grr

Oh man I hear you. I'm losing weight right now and it's such a slow process.
