Finding middle ground

So I think I need to train my brain to do this more often. A lot more often. So I came up with an exercise for myself to find the middle ground between pairs of opposites. I thought some other people might enjoy doing this too, though, so I won't put up my answers yet.

What would middle ground look like in these situations? You can use as many words as you need to properly explain your answers. There are no right and wrong answers really. People will probably have different answers for some.

1. Liked; disliked

2. Ignored; the center of attention.

3. deathly ill; perfectly healthy.

4. A failure at life; a total success at life.

5. Not good enough; perfect

6. Emotionless; too emotional

7. Ignorant; intelligent

8. Aggressive; passive

9. Important; unimportant

10. Disappointed; pleasantly surprised.

I think I haven't always found the middle, but sometimes went over the whole spectrum. Cannot stick to one word

1. Liked; disliked
Not close (yet), not disliked, okay

2. Ignored; the center of attention.
Part of the group, accepted, equal

3. deathly ill; perfectly healthy.
More or less ill, but under control, or improving

4. A failure at life; a total success at life.
A complete human person, who struggled, fought hard

5. Not good enough; perfect
Good enough, good, great

6. Emotionless; too emotional
Stable emotionally to sensitive, emotional

7. Ignorant; intelligent
Knowledgeable, curious / intelligent in probably another area than the one we notice first / probably couldn't get the education they deserved / has never thought too hard

8. Aggressive; passive
Giving their opinion, diplomatic

9. Important; unimportant
Task : not urgent, not a priority
Person : (as in, important "to you") "I will find some time for them"

10. Disappointed; pleasantly surprised.
Satisfied
