How Are You Feeling Right Now?

The suicidal ideations have lessened, though I've imagined a specific, improbable method and dismissed it. Then I imagined a couple of methods that I've considered before, as options if I chose to use them. But I can't indulge in those thoughts too much, I've committed to not choosing my own death, I have some family, a girlfriend and best friend that would be hurt. There have been a few suicides in my family, as well as a few friends, the aftermath is brutal

peace
:)
Im glad that you have people in your life and that you've chosen to live. Ive also had suicide in my family as well as attempts. It does make you stop and consider. I hope you have a good day @1Lefty. *console

I am disgusted with myself.

I was supposed to drink barium contrast tonight and in the morning for a CT scan. Also was supposed to fast after midnight.

I slept early and woke about 11 pm, sick and nauseous. Can't drink the foul stuff. How could I get a stomach virus at exactly the time I need to drink large ish quantities of contrast?
I'm sorry you have gone through this. I wish you could separate the disgust for your body from you - though know how hard that is. I hope you are better by the time you read this. ❤️

Disappointed with myself. I didn't wake up until past noon today. I know I was in bed by 2:00AM at the latest although I had been trying to wind down since 10:00 PM. Some kind of weird panic attack. Unfortunately it came on so suddenly that I was not able to see it coming. I didn't know it was panic until afterward. I almost called 911 because I felt so anxious that my CNS fight/flight defense was on fire. HR, Respiration, etc, all scary high for having been laying in bed for the past couple hrs, or at most sitting at the computer screen. No clue what it could be. I did have approx 240mg caffeine but that was a little past noon, so 9 hrs before I planned to wind down, and all that did was mitigate my headache slightly. Other than that I've doing better with nutrition. Not enough fiber yet because that has to be gradual in order for the gut biome to do its thing. Water was great at 10-12 cups/ approx 3L spaced out pretty well. I hope I'm just clearing the sugar and preservatives, etc from my ultra-processed food binge. But right now, even after 10+ hrs sleep, I feel like I just took a sedative. Body wants to go back to bed but I need to train it to sleep at night, not starting at sunrise and ending in the early afternoon. God I feel inadequate. It is what it is, though. I know better than to expect the path to be linear. I just want it to be because I'm busting my ass here to change my habits and routines - shouldn't that exempt me from setbacks? UNIVERSE: no. Going to have to learn to take No for an answer from the universe/god/whatever makes sense. I'm doing the things I should. Need to keep in mind it's a marathon, not a sprint.

Also lots of shame arising from nervous system sustained activation, i.e., was in fight/flight so long that I went into freeze. I feel like I should apologize, but for what and to whom, I can't say.

Just had a thought, discard if not helpful, but the thought is that you cannot be the first person to not make it through the contrast ordeal. Fasting alone is miserable for me since I normally eat throughout the day instead of having meals. So I was thinking maybe it's possible the provider could help you with some advice to make it through on a future try? I feel like that's got to be frustrating because you've waited so long for this appt. Sorry to hear about that.

Surviving. I'm up and down but my nervous system hasn't set completely on fire for a bit. Despite ongoing challenges. Never a day without something new it seems. Today it was ants (again) and my prescription screwing up. I called about the meds and dusted the outside perimeter with powder. Enough is enough!

I’m on my bucket list trip of a lifetime. I am enjoying myself but I’m starting to wonder how much the bills are going to materialize after this trip. I mean I set up this trip when I was working and most of it-the biggest expenses has been paid. But with no income coming in there’s a voice in my head saying you’re going to be sorry. I mean Uber rides and meals are charged and will have to be paid later. I know that I have enough, that I can look for a job when I get home, but I’m starting to get worried. And the trip is halfway Over.

objectively I know these things and I can’t do much about them and that I shouldn’t worry about them Now but I am and I’m now anxious and I still have to finish the trip. Maybe I am too tired to think clearly but I’m going to finish the trip but try to be more mindful of what I spend. Also I know that if I didn’t retire I was going to be laid off. But I will endure and try to put the anxiety aside.
