How Are You Feeling Right Now?

I'm not ok. I have intermittent pain from the gall bladder area. i've already been to the hospital twice. Unless I show pain they don't think there's a problem. I have a fever

What's worse is my son threatening suicide. I don't know what to do, I told him many times where help is, the crisis lines, the hot lines, the hospital. He's not responding anymore when I told him to pick up dry clothes here. I wont sleep. I've done the best I thought I could, I don't know what to do but he can't come back in here with me. Anyone that prays please pray. I just cant do this anymore, there's absolutely total disrespect and hate for me. I will be evicted if I dont stick to keeping him out. He says he doesn't hate me but it shows with every word, outburst and action... I feel like I've done what I can, I dont' want him hurting but he's got to take responsiblity. I dont know what else there is to do, all the helping hasn't helped him. I feel sick but going to the hospital seems useless at this point. There's no one in my life I can talk to about this. I don't even know if God cares or hears anything.
god hears you, i also prayed for him to show you guidance. i'm sorry that you are in pain, i hope it gets better. when our children are hurting and especially if they may be unsafe, well it eats at us and hurts even more when they are adults. of course you have to take any suicide threat seriously even if we think it might just be for getting their way.

you can't let him back in and you have done all you can so far, this isn't your fault. if you ever think suicide is going to happen because he becomes too unstable and won't get help, then you may have to call in a welfare check. i think involuntary admission should be last resort but it is an option. i had some serious issues with my kids, 1 in particular so i kind of understand. good news is all 3 kids turned out ok and there is a good chance yours will as well when he gets older. i will pray again tonight

Thank you Mike. I came here to say I'm anxious and feel sick.
I prayed too but i dont know for sure He hears me. I dont know why but I couldn't take the worry, he kept saying tonight and crying about how tired he is, he smells, he needs sleep he cant get sleep out there with no tent or feeling safe.

I talked in the car, I said he can come in tonight to shower and sleep. It doesn't mean he will stay. I do know his depression is very real and serious. I'm trying to tell him and convince him that going for help at the hospital is the right decision. That him going voluntarily it wouldnt be a horrible experience. Being forced can be, and was for myself in the past. The police cant help, they've tried. He calms right down and says his threats weren't serious.

Having a place to sleep tonight doesn't fix how depressed he is or how he's felt suicidal for a long time now. I'm hoping with a gentle slow talk again with him tomorrow I can show him how it will help him, even just to talk to nurses abuot how he feels. I dont think psychiiatric medications are the answer, but temporary in a hospital to try it, I think he should.

I know why (part of why) he wont go is because he couldn't tolerate not being able to use weed.

strange you couldn't find it, it was the first thing came up on my results but I guess they are personalized!

Also

From - From: Season 1 | IMDb
Thank you. I entered the search query incorrectly, so I didn't see it. The word “From” is quite a popular word in English. But with the director's name included, Google understood what I wanted.
And yes, most likely, you had personalized results. We are in different countries and on different devices, so my search results may not necessarily be similar to yours.

Oh also @Gard here's the bit I mentioned in my original ramblings
Thanks! Just what I needed!

pretty good i guess. have a minor summer cold which always makes my pain worse which brings thoughts which this which that lol. at least for now pain is only a little high
I recently had a minor summer cold after swimming in a cold river. It's an unpleasant feeling when it's so hot around you and you have a runny nose. I hope you feel better soon.

Tired and sweaty. I’ve been packing up my house today. It’s not the weather to be packing up lol I’m dripping with sweat
This makes you stronger :)

Weed can definitely cause the effects you describe. I know this from my own experience. But I haven't smoked weed in many years (since 2020). We're talking about cannabis, right?
On the other hand, weed does change the brain a little. In a sense, it allows a person to see things from a different angle. Perhaps your son needs mature dialogue rather than demands. Perhaps he can't get that from you. Perhaps he needs a good psychologist rather than a psychiatric hospital. Try to lower your demands and expectations a little.

@Gard yes I'm talking about cannabis, he mixes it with tobacco, and I know he is addicted. I have to disagree that weed only makes him see things from a different angle, and he talks in his sleep. I have looked up long term effects and it actually prevents him from having a deep sleep, either the dreaming or the deep part of it I forget. He talks in his sleep sometimes too.

Perhaps I cant have a mature talk with him, but I'd like to think at my age of 57 I am capable of discussing his needs. I did want him to have a psychologist, the principal of his high school said she might consider him for the free psychologist but he wasn't picked. Everything has to go through his family doctor first, I even asked him to refer him to a pyschologist but he'd rather him start with antidepressants and I disagree with just him starting that and no help along with it. My doctor exclaimed the price of a psychologist, and I said ''well then maybe it has to come out of my pocket and I'll pay for it.'' me and my sons doctor is stubborn. You cant just make your doctor do what you want or need, and I can't find another one, I tried. I'm in Canada, and our health system is not as some people think, great, free etc.

I do think placing less demands on him might be good advice, but I don't think asking for basic respect, cleaning up after himself, and getting help for his addiction is wrong. He's an adult and needs to learn to stand on his own feet. He is capable of working he's done it before. I liked though that you give me another perspective at how to look at this. Thank you.

When too much pressure is put on a person, it can have various consequences...
I'm sorry you're going through this.

My spending this month has been so high. I’ve spent over $300 on driving lessons, $100 on transport, nearly $100 on food, nearly $100 on miscellaneous expenses (and some of them were so dumb… $20 on a bet with a friend and $26 for a book I’m struggling to get through), $118 on an eyebrow threading package and $65 on dental treatments. I earn about $800 a month from the military and I’m usually able to save at least two thirds of my salary but this month I’ve spent almost all of it 💔 I keep checking my bank account obsessively to look over my spending this month and gosh it feels horrible. I wish I could get a second job but here it’s illegal while serving your mandatory military service 😔
