Longing for God to call me home. I am tired of all the pains and struggles of life. They seem to get worse every day. Some of them I deserve, others not. The world situation helps not at all. All the hatred, war, lies, poverty, illness. It's almost impossible to imagine anything good coming to this world. But there will be nothing but good in the world God will call me to. I just wish He would do it soon.

Worried because I came home from work yesterday and my niece was drunk on the couch. She goes through those boxed wines like it's nobody's business.

She did fid a placement job for her nursing in Queens. That makes me relieved somewhat. She'll be leaving me next week and I'll miss her, but worry from afar.

Back from work and going to do a few hours diy in the garden. Don't feel very good in myself, it's a feeling like I'm being pulled very slowly backwards through honey, something very sticky. It's almost like every now and again I feel myself going under, like Im going to drown.

I had an interesting experience yesterday, where someone wasn't being very nice to me. The situation took a turn and was in my favour, but I didnt like that. It would have been a win lose to me. I'm learning that I don't want to be in power struggles, I don't want to have this sense of victor or victim. So I worked with this person so the situation had a lose lose, which in my opinion was a win win. I felt good about doing that, as normally I may have just done a lose win situation and been all people pleasing or been the other way and had be combative and uptight.

I understand that must be upsetting. Have you thought about writing her a letter to take with her when she leaves next week. Something she can read once she gets to her new place, like a letter of encouragement. Maybe put it in a card, like good luck in your new job, with the letter inside.
