Another tick on the board for "why can't I select practical advice and empathy only at the same time"
Age regression is not enough. I wanna permanently be in this state. I don't wanna deal with adult troubles anymore. I don't want my girlfriend to act angry in front of me anymore, I don't want to suffer anymore. I will not take no for an answer. I will not accept "you can't" as an answer. I don't wanna deal with people calling me a bad person for something that my girlfriend wants to help me with. I'm tired of hearing that it's not possible when it is.

Reading about Buddhism may help you. There is a lot about having a child like outlook - seeing things in a more simplistic and pure way.
It’s difficult to shed the trapping of a capitalist world, but you can shift your mind set more to the beauty of external world to help you escape it in your mind.
I'm a Catholic and I'm not keen on converting or blaming all my problems on capitalism.

It's not something you can find out and quickly implement by posting here, or anywhere with a question and answer. It'd be a journey from where your mind is now, and working on canging all its reactions. That is why @Mr Polite suggested studying and practising from the Buddhist tradition. My aunt was Catholic and went to a study group at her church where the nuns actually taught some mindfulness techniques and ideas from Buddhist teachings. So it is not a conflict.

I don't want my girlfriend to act angry in front of me anymore
Did you mean you want to change and control how others behave toward you?

I've been watching the thread, and i think i see the theme here. People are scrambling trying to find ethical and practically feasible solutions, but they're all compromises, cos it feels like the most direct routes to exactly what you want are neither of those. And it's pretty evident you don't find their answers satisfactory.

I've personally been racking my brain for the answer, and even with ethics completely left aside, i still don't see the solution. The best option i could see is a specific kind of highly unethical lobotomy no surgeon would agree to, and even with a master neurosurgeon, that would still carry massive, life-ruining risks that'd be nothing like what you want. Every other option that's come to mind, the odds are much lower and the risks are much worse.

So i'd actually like to pose a question in response: You say that you refuse to accept "no" as an answer, and that there is a way to get what you want, but what is that to you? To say that with such confidence implies you must have some vision for what you feel the answer must be. So what would you actually want the answer to be if it's none of the things people have offered? Do you think there's a pill to take? An injury to self-inflict? A doctor you can bribe?

What answer would actually make you happy? Can "there is a way, but it's a long road with a lot of hard work, it takes Buddhist monks years of meditation" ever be that answer, or is the only thing you'll accept some instant, safe, guaranteed, easy way to achieve this?

It feels like if you could answer that question, it'd save both you and everyone else on the thread trying to help you a lot of frustration.

@AnHeroTransGirl

I am sorry you are suffering.

What is the help you are looking for? I can read your initial post 2 ways. One is that you don't know how to be a child and and want that help. The other way I read it is that you already know how and your girlfriend is helping but others are not supportive and you need help navigating that.

I think I need to understand a little better what is going on. How did you start down the journey of becoming a child?

Hmm im not really sure trying to go back being a child is the answer to any of your problems. Dealing with "adult" problems is just a part of life and children are called children because they are not yet developed all the skills needed handle real life difficult problems.

What ive learned over the years is that problems like these suck a lot but trying to avoid inevitable problems will suck even morez like 5 times as much.

Change yes, control no. I feel like she wouldn't be so upset or emotional around me if I was mentally a kid. She'd hold back/hide the pain for the sake of someone with a kid brain not being traumatized further.
Being a child is seeing everything for the first time. It is trying to learn how to make the lights go on and off. It is a time of wonder and trial and error. A time of learning and learning. Gaining new knowledge.

These things would help at any age to solve problems.
Not sure how this is supposed to help me?

Before I met my girlfriend I realized my depression was the result of my mother being terrible. So that narrowed down my search for a loved one more. I figured an MDLG relationship would work and it... partially did. My girlfriend still tends to have her own problems that are beyond my expertise to solve. Leading to me taking on the parental role indirectly. I feel like if I nix my brain into being a child she'll hold back her hardships in favor of my own as (not to sound mean) my problems are more complex/harder to go through than hers.

That's why I want to be a kid. To go back to when those problems just didn't exist.

In a way, It may be that this desire comes from your inner child. I can't help looking at this logically AnHeroTransGirl. I have a couple of things which trouble me about it. Do you think you'd want a girlfriend if you were actually a kid? I'm wondering how an adult relationship could remain if you regressed to being a kid. It's illegal for most countries for an adult to be in a sexual relationship with a minor.

This may not be what you want to hear but mental regression
is a maladaptive coping strategy.

1. Anger and conflict occasionally happen even in the most successful relationships.
2. Expecting others to permanently hide their emotions and /or never make demands of you
is unfair and unreasonable.
3. How would you react if your partner said "I don't want to have any adult responsibilities etc.?

You have to accept your demands from your partner are completely unreasonable.

Next time you partner is angry towards you try some alternatives:

1. Actually ask what's wrong and if you can help?
2. go for a walk get of the house for a while to let them vent and compose yourself.

Well I'm not actually a minor. I'm 24. I'll just have the mental capacity of one. And I was thinking about attractive women and girls all the time when I was a kid so, yes.

I actually had to walk out of the house last night. Unfortunately it was 12 AM so I couldn't just go to a restaurant and sit down. I really hate that I really have nowhere to go or that I have to go anywhere if I'm having issues with her. I'd rather just her not have issues period.

I'm sorry that you feel you can't deal with issues in the relationship @AnHeroTransGirl . It sort of sounds like kink, but I dunno if it's allowed to say that sort of stuff here. Probbably wouldn't matter if at 24 or 84, if your mental capacity is child-like, then you'd likely be considered a 'vulnerable adult' in the eyes of the law and subject to a certain amount of loss of autonomy.
