Couldn’t breathe, thoughts got overwhelmed and overall a shit time!
It's a horrible loop to be caught in, overthinking things and everything just looks bleak.
It takes a huge internal effort to challenge this way of thinking, after all we can do this for days/weeks/months/years.
Then you end up fully convinced everything is a waste of time and you're completely doomed.
And that's the problem, we're our own worst enemies!
There is no quick fix, medication and therapy can offer some relief, but after the medication wears out or the therapy ends, we're straight back to where we started from.
Being conscious of time around you is important, reminding yourself that the time you live in right at this moment is the NOW. Thinking of the future or the past is totally useless. These 2 points of time that have either passed or not come yet, well these 2 points of time do not exist. And as much as anybody can spend all of their energy trying to change past and future, you'll never find a human being that has achieved it yet.
But saying that you can make your future more comfortable.
The only time that exists is right now, and it's important to register this.
Because if you register that time is right now, you can also start telling yourself that worrying about tomorrow or yesterday is futile.
This way you start challenging yourself and that little voice that keeps you all locked up and trapped, telling you you're not worth it etc, etc. Begins to fade away because it knows you are right!
Become aware of time and the anxiety will fade away!
As humans we need three things to live, water, food and oxygen. Everything else thrown into the mix is clutter!
Take care
