I wrote a story, where should I publish it?

OK, because this is National Suicide Prevention Week, I wrote a story about a guy who attempts to prevent a friend from committing suicide. I printed out a few physical copies and distributed them to friends and family, and it got positive reactions. One guy said I should publish it online, but I'm not sure where. Can anybody recommend a good place to publish it?

I hope others can help you with that. I don't know anywhere.
Maybe on a blog? Or maybe as an article (uh, where??) and ask others to link it to their blogs if they like it (I'm thinking of blogs because I blog, but really there probably are places, I just don't know the world of the web very well).
