i was as virgin i only lost it march this year and trust me if you get a girlfriend sex isnt the only thing you should worry about, as if u get dumped like i did it makes u feel even worse granted i fcuked her like over 100 times. but im depressed now cos i got dumped sex wont make you happy cos u need to stay in a relationship to be happy. and unprotected sex is the best feeling in the world i think so anyway luckily my gf had no std's and neither did i

it isn't that simple for all of us I'm afraid. For some people including myself it's a hard process when you've had absolutely zero confidence with the opposite sex, takes effort, just like trying to overcome shyness.

some people just arent appealing to the opposite sex. some people are doomed to never be in love. im one of them. never even kissed, i cant even be a good friend, cant even talk to girls. im doomed.

That's good advice. The more I consider a relationship, the more possible it seems, but I don't know if I want that in my life right now. It's good stuff to consider though.

At the point I'm at right now I wouldn't date myself to be honest. There are some things I like about myself, and I realize no one will be perfect on earth, but there are a lot of things to change. After I get myself together maybe a relationship will be something I desire and contemplate. If not, there's no shame in singleness.
Ive been thinking about this post a lot and I have come to agree with Nessa. I have way too many issues to even attempt starting a relationship. Its a depressing fact but I guess Ill just have to wait a little longer for happiness, Im just too much of a mess right now.

I only wish i had done this earlier in life, I already feel like at 24 most people will think im a creep for having never dated. but I guess thats life..

No no no no no. I meant that for myself; I'm not yet comfortable with myself, or not as much as I'd like to be, so I'm not going to actively seek a relationship. That doesn't mean you can't. Don't let your problems define you. If you'd like to change little things about yourself to feel more confident, go for it. We'll all always have problems, though, some of them huge, and we can't let them get in the way of living our lives. If there's someone you're interested in, build up your confidence if you feel it could be better, and ask the person out. ^_^

Believe me, you won't seem like a creep. I'm twenty, completely inexperienced, and I would love to have a guy who also had never been kissed or anything. Hopefully that's not a turn off for guys. If it is, well, everyone has to start somewhere. I wouldn't reject a guy who had been in relationships, but I do think it would be nice to date someone with a similar level of experience (i.e. none in my case).

Pleeeeeease don't put yourself down.

that's a load of nonsense. If you're a decent person then other decent people (of which there are enough) aren't gonna judge you for that, and if they do, fuck 'em. Just try and work on yourself a bit, i find self help books help a lot, i hope you find some way to try and work things out for the better.

do you want to believe that or would you try and make a big effort to change if it were possible? It does take effort, I'm slowly getting there..

Well... I only wanted to say that I felt the same as you do. But honestly I dont know what I want anymore. Or what I want most, anyway. Id like to be in a relationship, but just the thought of asking a girl out and going on a date makes me feel uncomfortable. I feel like Im being torn apart by different impulses. No idea what to do.

Still, thanks for replying. I guess we are going through similar problems because your words always resonate with me. Take care of yourself Nessa.

Its a little hard for me to believe that. But I'll try the self-help books, at least it would be a new approach.

that's fine. Is it maybe the fact that you're really shy and because of lack of confidence think that others will judge you? You do need to work on things, but I do think that a lot of people do grow up once they reach your kind of age and older. If someone judges me cos of my lack of sexual experience then I'm not gonna have any time for that, the present is what matters and I think that good, genuine people will recognise if you're trying your best.

hunni, of course a girl will go out with you.

my bf was virgin himself at 29...until he met me.

i have to admit, i was shocked at first. but it doesnt matter. most people date somebody for their personality traits, not sexual experience.

Don't worry; I'm sure the girl will be nervous about dates, too. It's human nature. It's nothing to be ashamed about, and it's something you can and I believe will overcome with time. Don't rush it, but don't hold yourself back, either. I could probably take my own advice.

Aww. Thanks. Your posts strike a cord with me as well.

Yeah thats the reason, more or less.
