Thank you for opening the café, Auri. And thank you @Lane for tagging me.

How are you doing today? What's the plan for the week?
My classes started again and I need to prepare for my finals, so I'll be busy with that.

Veganuary Month : what's your favourite meatless (or vegan!) recipe?
They are not vegan, but I guess cachapas are vegetarians, since they don't have meat. At least not the classical one.

Hot Tea Month : what tea flavour do you drink? What's the only right way to drink tea? Milk or not?
I don't drink tea, but if I did, I don't think I would mix it with milk, sounds a little weird for me.

Soup Month : do you like cooking your own soup?
Unfortunately, I'm a very bad cooker, I can't even prepare a plate of cereals without mess it up.

Oatmeal Month : what is your go-to breakfast?
None, I normally skip breakfast.

Bittersweet Chocolate Day : which chocolate is the best?
That's difficult, but I think I prefer milk chocolate, can't stand the bitterness of dark chocolate. White chocolate is also pretty good.

Hope everyone is doing ok, see you around.

The best falafel I've ever had was in Israel and Egypt. Maybe one day I'll find some that good here. I can still picture the street carts with it and all the pickled veggies and more. Have some for me!*shake
Those carts are wide spread here, they are very convenient when I am out and want something quick to eat. If you decide to visit Egypt again I will save some for you ;)

Great cafe @Auri thanks for the tag @Lane hope you and everyone is doing well.
Doing ok. Not a lot of plans this week, catch up on some work and try to stay warm.
Don't have a favorite, just really enjoy food in general.
More of a coffee then tea drinker, but had a mint tea once that was pretty good.
Yes, I like to cook soup, especially in the colder months, its nice to just have a big pot to heat up whenever.
Carbs, usually with coffee for breakfast, though I don't eat till late morning.
Chocolate? yes please.
Hope you all have a great week!

they show up in antique shops. maybe even in a thrift store. but are you in America? bc that's all I know about. we inherited one from grand pa. ☺️
Ah no, I am from Egypt. It's alright though I might be able to get one online if I really wanted to. That sounds nice, like a generational teapot that can be inherited, everyone out there with their electric kettles or microwaved water(a crime against humanity in my humble opinion) while you have a cool looking samovar!

1. How are you doing today? What's the plan for the week?
-- exhausted. Just finished up my first day alone at the new job doing admin office work. Answering phones and emails non-stop is rough... Especially when you don't know all the answers to questions..

2. Veganuary Month : what's your favourite meatless (or vegan!) recipe? no idea about vegan stuff.
Any kind of sweets is always a hit with me. ☕🍪

3. Hot Tea Month : what tea flavour do you drink? What's the only right way to drink tea? Milk or not?

Deoends on the tea. My favorite tea is Jasmine green tea, I can do that with or without milk. Chai tea I prefer with milk. Peach or Hibiscus is good without. Peppermint without milk.

4. Soup Month : do you like cooking your own soup?
Yeah, its easy and hearty. Tomato basil, Curry, Thai coconut, broccoli cheddar, french onion, and miso are my fave.

5. Oatmeal Month : what is your go-to breakfast?

Ooof. Its oatmeal and kefir. And fruit.
Or just a banana and kefir. Probiotic yogurt. Good for a messed up stomach. Which I have often.

6. Bittersweet Chocolate Day : which chocolate is the best? super dark and bittersweet.
Good luck at your new job @foreverforgotten

Tysm for the tags @Auri and @foreverforgotten hope you and everyone else are well :)

1. How are you doing today?
So so I guess. Not great but not horrible, just kinda neutral. A bit worried also cos haven't talked to my only rl friend since Thursday. Hoping he's ok. Also starting to feel a bit ugh cos of just having no one to really "talk to" period. It is definitely starting to weigh on me very heavily, and in a way the worst part is just that it feels like no one even cares. I'm strong though so I will figure it out, somehow. Just wish my life didn't have to feel quite so empty and painful like this but whatever.

1a. What's the plan for the week?
Nothing planned for this week, but next week I actually do have something planned. It's nothing big or exciting at all, just to get a C-19 booster shot. That will make 3 bloody shots I've had in total, ugh sure hope that will be over soon, so done with it already.

2. Veganuary Month : what's your favourite meatless (or vegan!) recipe?
I'm not vegan or even vegetarian per se but I do try to not eat much meat. A meatless dish I like is lentil soup. I also like that it's healthy since it's main ingredient is lentils.

3. Hot Tea Month : what tea flavour do you drink? What's the only right way to drink tea? Milk or not?
Usually just chamomile, I don't like to risk any caffeine cos I used to drink earl gray as a teen and got kind of addicted to it.
Since chamomile is herbal it doesn't require anything to be added to it, I like that about it since milk and sugar only make it more fattening.

4. Soup Month : do you like cooking your own soup?
Out of a can sure. From scratch, well never really have but am gonna try to make the lentil soup on my own next time, hopefully I won't mess it up.

5. Oatmeal Month : what is your go-to breakfast?
Oatmeal. Lol. I like that it's quick, satisfying and fairly healthy. I guess it tastes fine too, have had it almost every morn for years now and haven't really gotten sick of it so I think that is a good thing about it. If I could still eat whatever I want then I'd probably eat regular cereal with milk and/or toast with peanut butter and honey or peanut butter and jam.

6. Bittersweet Chocolate Day : which chocolate is the best?
Milk, but dark is a very close second. I very rarely eat white, I used to like it but not so much anymore.

Hello, thank you for the invite :3 What do you guys usually talk bout here? Also who is Jim?
Usually anything you want! Buts there's questions on the original post, for each day. to help as a prompt. Its just like a morning Cafe thing to chill and talk to everyone. Jim was a person who used to come on here and make these Cafes everyday from my understanding. and in his honor it is continued... *hug

I just realized I have indeed read about Jim a while back. He seemed to be a good man. I hope this community helped many others, like he probably have done. (I didn't know him personally but through what those who knew him said he seemed like someone I would like to be friends with)

1. How are you doing today? What's the plan for the week?

I'm getting stressed out with family and thinking about the future. I have to clean out my mom's house (where I live now) and find somewhere to live in 3 months. And probably have to get a damn job. I have CPTSD, agoraphobia, depression, social anxiety, and I'm grieving for my mom (I wish I could join her).

2. Veganuary Month : what's your favourite meatless (or vegan!) recipe? no idea about vegan stuff. Any kind of sweets is always a hit with me. ☕🍪

Me: I try to do low carb, so it's kind of difficult for vegan recipes. I would have to say home-made ramen soup with miracle noodles, lots of garlic, onions, mushrooms, and whatever else I have on hand.

3. Hot Tea Month : what tea flavour do you drink? What's the only right way to drink tea? Milk or not?

I love all sorts of tea, and I don't think there is only one way to have it.

I like chai tea with honey and thick organic cream. I'd like to learn how to make authentic matcha tea, but it's expensive and I want to do it correctly with the little bamboo whisk.

I also like jasmine green tea, and I make a huge two gallon glass jar in the sun every other day with green tea and peppermint tea or ginger added.

4. Soup Month : do you like cooking your own soup? Yeah, its easy and hearty. Tomato basil, Curry, Thai coconut, broccoli cheddar, french onion, and miso are my fave.

Me: Oh yes... I like all of those you mentioned. My favorite would have to be avgolemono (Greek lemon chicken soup). I also like Italian wedding soup, and yellow curry Thai soup.

5. Oatmeal Month : what is your go-to breakfast?

I do like oatmeal, but I only have it as a treat once in a while (low carb, again) and it has to be organic because they spray the non-organic with harmful chemicals.

Normally I don't eat breakfast because I do a fast from the end of supper to lunch the next day, and I make a large glass of iced coffee with heavy cream, sea salt and monk fruit/stevia first thing. The cream satiates me so I can go without any food until lunch time.

6. Bittersweet Chocolate Day : which chocolate is the best? super dark and bittersweet.
Me: I love them all, haha! It depends on what I feel like, I guess. There's a brand called Lily's, and they have a salted caramel milk chocolate, stevia sweetened (instead of sugar). I would have to say that it's my favorite candy bar.
