I love December because it means I'll get to see people who are important to me. I love all the twinkly lights, finding the perfect gifts for loved ones, cosying up indoors when it's freezing outside.

What I dislike about December is that I'm married to a grumpy git who shouts at me for buying presents because he might have been able to find them cheaper. To be honest, if I left it to him there would be no gifts under the tree on Christmas morning.

I like December because it is a magical month with christmas and my birthday falling in it. I love the different snowflakes that fall from the sky, each with its own distinct and beautiful shape. I love the light displays people put up, and the smell of Christmas greenery. I love how people are kinder now. I hate how everything crashes after Christmas as if things don't matter anymore

I just saw that your avi has what I was going fo send you @Sunspots. I was gonna say to tell him, "no grinches".

It's nice to get to make people happy. I get it. And I too get the $ thing, as I used to hide the phone bill when I was married and was screamed at for bouncing a check once, that wasn't bounced. No fun. (Putting it mildly) *halo *hugtackles Screenshot_20191201-183657_Chrome.jpg

Traditionally December is a hard month for me. There's a lot of reasons, and I won't really get into all that. I like getting people things that make them smile, that's probably my favorite part about it. Seeing other people get excited. While I'm not really able to share in that excitement I can appreciate that they are enjoying it. I don't like much else about it. People call me a Grinch, which I find somewhat irritating, but I can see how they view my lack of enthusiasm that way.

I like December because my son was born this month..He turned 12 (!!!) today as a matter of fact, and Igot to spend the whole day with him, which was nice.

I don't like the crass commercialism and dealing with the crowds when I need to go to the store. And I can do without the gratuitous and phony "good will towards men" BS. So many people seem to don that mantle just a few weeks in December, but stuff it in the attic the other 50 weeks out of the year.

It was a fun birthday weekend..

He had a party at his mom's on Friday, I picked him up Saturday am and had him for the weekend. I got him a new game for the Wii and some new controllers. We went to Kings Dominion Winterfest last night and had a great time. They go all out and deck the entire park out in lights and decorations. They keep a few rides open, including a couple of the good roller coasters, and we pretty much walked on everything, as it was cold and the crowd was minimal.

Took him to his favorite restaurant today and browsed a few stores that he likes...played the Wii for a few hours afterwards.

So yeah ...good birthday for him!

Now i have an answer...

one thing i like, spirit of festivity, decorations and all

one thing i dont like, every shop closes down for the holidays, so if you need something you better plan ahead and stock up in it until the holiday is well over.

A day late...but great theme @1964dodge and thanks for the tag @Lane. I like sending cards (either snail or e-cards) to friends/colleagues haven't connected with over the last year just to hear their news and share some of mine. This year with the move going to go for New Year;s month cards...lol. I guess the one thing I don't like is the commercialism of it all.
