Music is an important part of this rat's earthy existence.

1. I never stick to one genre. I have favorites in every type of music imaginable - from metal to electronica to pop. The last year I've been going whole hog on breakbit.
2. Rap and hip hop. However I do have some horrorcore songs I like, which is strange.
3. Lately I've been listening a lot of Fluke, Prodigy, Mylene Farmer, Alizee, and some Steve Roach to help me sleep. If I have to choose just one that would be Mylene Farmer. I like her songs very much, even if the things she sings about are somewhat... provocative and aren't relatable.
4. I've always treated music more than just tunes, it was a fuel of daydreaming, for creating scenes inside my head to help me escape reality. It fueled my poetry, my attempts at writing, my pencil doodlings. It allowed me to free myself. That was until OCD kicked in making such mental activity a pain, but that is another story.

I've been spinning this record a lot. It is a remix, but terribly well done. Helped me out when I was the closest to the edge.

1. What are some of your fave "types" of music?
“As Duke Ellington once said, “There are simply two kinds of music, good music and the other kind.” In that sense, jazz and classical music are fundamentally the same. The pure joy one experiences listening to “good” music transcends questions of genre.”

2. Are there any types of music you really don't like?
"We are in a golden age of music. There will be a time when technology becomes so advanced that we'll rely on it to make music rather than raw talent...and music will lose its soul."
- Freddie Mercury

3. What are your fave singers/bands/songs?

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzWHCD7CmqmLQr_rqWvN2GyJUGc93UUcl&si=haAGjeL8t0xGq32U

4. Kind of a "free space" question here really, in case you don't feel like talking about music today. Feel free to talk about whatever you want here, I'm always curious to hear about "how people are doing, what they are up to" or whatever else might be on their mind :)
I wish everyone good health and happiness always.

Hello, thank you for the tag!

1. What are some of your fave "types" of music?
I like alternative rock, 90's emo (the good kind of emo), indie rock, and shoegaze
2. Are there any types of music you really don't like?
Mumbling rap
3. What are your fave singers/bands/songs?

Currently I listen to a lot of Oasis and Slipknot

I feel a little bit better seeing the cafe. I don't have the best day today and I got reminded that SF still here. Though I don't know if there's still happiness left for me in this world. It's just so painful. I'm sorry if I ruin the fun atmosphere of the cafe :(

I mean, the cafe is generally a lighthearted space, but the site's called Suicide Forum for a reason. It kinda feels like if you weren't allowed to express you're depressed and struggling, it would be kind of a pointless site. *hug10

Hey everyone! :) I thought I'd post a cafe for today. This is a special "black and white" cafe, cos I did both the cafe banner in black and white, and also the collage :) Just wanted to make it very, unmistakably clear that I mean the "black and white" as referring to the colors of the pics only, and nothing else ;)

I also thought that along with this being a black and white cafe that it could also be a bit of a "music" cafe. I think my taste in music might seem a bit "sappy" to the majority so that's why I don't personally talk "much" about music I like, but anyway I put a few questions about music so feel free to answer them, pick a fave pic, both or neither if you prefer not to. It's all good here in the cafe. Hope you have a nice day! :)

Oh, Witty I hope you have a good day & great taste in music! I wonder where you get it from..;) *hint, hint* :D

Some of the smartest people I've known, don't really listen to music, or appreciate it all that much. . .
Of course, the same could be said for some of the dumbest! (so, what we've learned, class: is?) idk~

It's funny, puffy as I remember it being in the '90s & just, not being all that enamored at all, w/or by^ the '70s...
something about the fashion, or the look--I (guess I) don't know what it was? Now, all is fine, of course & has been for some time.
I think it's really cool, how you're able to appreciate it now (the/that decade in which you do) & don't hold the same asinine
dislike, or distaste for it, that I did similarly then. I wish it hadn't have turned me off then, as it did. But maybe a movie like
Dazed & Confused, with its killer soundtrack (while made in the '90s, was set in the '70s)... began to bridge the gap / or change that!

Who knows? On to the next. . . @Road to Nowhere : I Approve of your Taste in MUSIC~!* ;) ;) j/k :D I mean, you know what I mean! :)
Where's @RCee hiding. Oh, right, we all already know what her answers going to be. High pitched female vocalists, preferably -
A Ca PellA! :D & the HIGH-ER. The Better, from what I recall. . ;)

I'm going to just answer the questions. I liked the b&w pictures btw.

Questions:
1. What are some of your fave "types" of music?

Lately I have been listening to Christian praise music. Unfortunately they replay the same music over and over on the radio so it kind of blends into the background. I usually have it on as background music when I am working at home. Gnerally other than country music I like anything peppy but not metal rock. (They do have metal Christian music which I don't listen to). I miss our local "oldies " (from the 70-90's ) radio station which went country.

2. Are there any types of music you really don't like?

I guess I answered that
3. What are your fave singers/bands/songs?
4. Kind of a "free space" question here really, in case you don't feel like talking about music today.
Kind of missing my car which should be done next week. Frustrated with the insurance companies and still mad as hell at the other driver. But it will be behind me soon enough. Going out tonight to play dungeons and Dragons with a group of people that I have been playing with for almost 10 years (they have been playing together much longer). But it is a nice day. And the work day is over. (and the work week),

Wow, thanks so much to all who have replied in here! :) I know the day “isn’t over yet” lol but I thought I’d already posted a “ty” post in here hours ago anyway (oops lol).

I’ve really enjoyed reading everything everyone has written here, reading about everyone’s fave/least fave kinds of music, fave bands, singers, songs, fave pic(s) from the collage and all other things talked about has all been great :)

To those who said they like the banner/collage/theme - thank you so much as well, that means a lot to me and I’m so glad you like them! :) I can’t take any credit for the actual “pics” (in the collage) but I did cut/resize and lay them out on the background, and add all the borders and text to it as well. And of course I always put the “Jim’s Cafe” banner/sign together myself so when/if people like how that looks then it’s always really nice to hear ;)

I found this cute “black and white” pic of a black cat and a white cat in the moonlight and thought I’d share it here. Such beautiful, adorable and cute art imo, love how the artist made the moon have a “glow” effect too :) 😍🥰❤️🖤🤍🖤🤍

😃 Awesome! I’m sure you’ll do a fab job on it ;)

Feel free to share it here (either in this cafe or wherever else on SF) after you’ve done that, if ya want. I’d be so curious to see it, but no pressure if you’d rather not share it ;)

Thanks for replying, and hope you have a nice day :)
Not sure if I will be brave enough to share *hiding but I will see how it turns out.
Hugs to you *brohug I hope you have a good day too

You actually have a much wider & more diverse/broader depth of both range, talent & taste, when it comes to your not so acquired taste in music. I don't think I've ever even listened to a Black Sabbath record, for instance~* ;) ...so, I am IMPRESSED* (none_the_less^)~> =)
