Thanks for the tag @Champagne
Sorry I've been absent from the Café for a few days. I keep forgetting to post because the Café thread usually gets posted before I go to bed the day before so I decide to post on the actual date of the Café, but then it slips my mind the next day.

My favorite breakfast food is chocolate chip pancakes or any other kind of pancakes with sweet toppings/fillings.

1. When was the last time you did something for the first time?
I wore my new pants for the first time yesterday. That's not too exciting, but that's what I could think of.
2.
How do you show gratitude for the things you already have?
By trying to make the best I can with them.
3.
Are you afraid of making mistakes even though there aren't any punishments at all?
Yes. I feel like I have to be perfect at all times, and it really affects me in a lot of ways. I'm scared to speak up about anything or start doing something unless I'm close to 100% certain it'll be right.
4.
What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
Just being a lot more outspoken. Maybe ask somebody out if I find someone I'm interested in. Learn to sail and fly a plane (given the means to do so).
5.
Who is your role model? It can be on here or IRL or both.
The Tottenham Hotspur player/South Korea national football team captain Son Heung-Min for his positive outlook on life.

Gotta go to bed soon because Spurs are playing at 7 am, and I wanna be awake for that. It's much harder for me to be awake for the early matches when I don't have a pub to go to. :(
Though it's already almost 4 am and I'm not feeling tired yet. Maybe I should just stay up at this point.

Thanks for the tag!
1: Probably yesterday! I built a checklist of all the stuff I'm going to take with me to university, and logged everything I already had!
2: Not well. I try to help where I can, and I'm starting trying to volunteer to official helplines for MH issues.
3: Not particularly unless there's high pressure on it.
4: I'd take every test I could, learn everything there is, and finally get a training contract (also make several large, unlikely bets)
5: I'd honestly say my best friend. He's got his shit together, is a great worker, absolutely nice and funny, and he's always been up to help me out during the easy times and the tough times.

Thanks for the kind message and the invite @Champagne.

How do you show gratitude for the things you already have?
Taking care of them.

Are you afraid of making mistakes even though there aren't any punishments at all?
Yes. I never want to make mistakes, especially if it's important to me.

What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
Become a politician and enter the lottery a few times.

Who is your role model? It can be on here or IRL or both.
I have a few but I won't say them to avoid getting too political. That and my hardworking friends.

5. Who is your role model? It can be on here or IRL or both. @na-taya @Freya @1964dodge All have made a significant impact in my life but I do have lots more here too, those just came to mind at the moment.

Hey thanks for opening the cafe @Champagne! & thank you for the tag @MisterBGone, much appreciated. Some coffee sounds superb right about now 😄

1. When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Hmmm I mean I finally got around to hearing a metal band that has been around for awhile, not too shabby. Can definitely see why it was recommended, that's the closest I can think of trying something new haha

2. How do you show gratitude for the things you already have?

With words, action & thought in my everyday. I try not to take anything for granted. Its important to appreciate what we have & what we could obtain.

3. Are you afraid of making mistakes even though there aren't any punishments at all?

Absolutely no fear of making mistakes. Without mistakes, there would be no great lessons.

4. What would you do if you knew you could not fail?

I'd do a variety of things, especially creativity wise. Maybe even help the world if I could 😊

5. Who is your role model? It can be on here or IRL or both.

I have a lot of real life role models, I unfortunately dont get to talk to people on here much... my role models range from Henry Rollins to Edgar Allan Poe to Vincent Van Gogh to Bob Ross to Dee Dee Ramone & to even the riveters during the second world war haha, I also really look up to Seneca's works, definitely a good philosophy to read into & teaches some important mindfulness. The list can go on! I still even kinda look up to some I had as a kid, like Mr Roger's & Steve Irwin, we honestly need more people like that in my opinion. Its definitely a trip to see who people & especially younger people, are looking up to these days.. Really hope theres more greats to come

My breakfast would consist of hash browns with sausage grave, scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage.

Pop quiz time; very interesting ones today... *bravo

1. When was the last time you did something for the first time?

I don't remember. My life is boring. I like it that way.

2. How do you show gratitude for the things you already have?

I thank God every morning for giving me another day. I don't own anything that is worth much. My bedroom is a man cave, boring, not interesting.

3. Are you afraid of making mistakes even though there aren't any punishments at all?

Yes. There are always people that will laugh at you.

4. What would you do if you knew you could not fail?

I would be an author, writing stories about real life people, biographies.

5. Who is your role model? It can be on here or IRL or both.

I don't have a role model. The last role model I tried had no idea what he was doing. He was sleeping with other men while married to his wife.

I totally stole the keys from @Sunspots handbag, don't tell - don't let her know I was snooping around, I just wanted to see if she had any nice make up or perfume in there.
Ahhhh... always perfume and lipstick in my bag. Currently Tom Ford - Black Orchid. Have a squirt, it's lovely :)

What's your fave brekkie item?
I love anything I don't have to prepare myself. But my favourite is probably Eggs Benedict on toasted sourdough.

When was the last time you did something for the first time?
Seriously it would probably be the couples counseling we started a couple of months back. So far I'm not liking it very much.
Non seriously it would be attempting to make macarons. Let's just say I'm never going to be able to compete with a Parisian pastry chef *hysterical

How do you show gratitude for the things you already have?
I look after them and if they have a heartbeat I tell them all the time.

Are you afraid of making mistakes even though there aren't any punishments at all?
Absolutely. It's caused an inordinate amount of sadness in my life so far.

What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
I would go back to college and train to be a florist.

Who is your role model? It can be on here or IRL or both
There are just too many to single one out. All of my friends both here and irl that have faced struggles and demons and continue to fight them.

@extraterrestrialone

Hoo mee! 🌞🌞🌞

Good Morning Champagne!!! Looks like a real nice morning too. and i’m definitely going for the “brekkie” on the brown tray to the right! that looks plenty tempting!

do you have different breakfasts on a Sunday than other days?
seems like in days past sundays may have had special breakfasts but somehow with covid all the days have blended into each other and seem the same so the nice breakfast may be on any day, not necessarily sunday. for instance we had peanut butter on rye bread today. that is more or less one of the usuals.

What's your fave brekkie item?
for this i’d have to say lox and cream cheese on a bagel with a hot cup of strong black coffee (with perhaps heavy cream in it or floated on it, maybe if i happen to have the cream and think of it and want it)

Pop quiz time; very interesting ones today... *bravo

1. When was the last time you did something for the first time?

hmm, i think it was in may. you’d be amazed too if i told you. but its a secret unless someone already knows but i don’t know if they know or not.

2. How do you show gratitude for the things you already have?
“things” are these people too? how to show gratitude anyway? i give from myself to those people in my life as best as i can. but what to do when being overwhelmed? i feel so overwhelmed especially lately. the above secret should not really be a secret. good news is that hijacker seems to have stepped aside (with purpose) and i don’t know if that is good or bad but processing whats going on is like carrying a mountain on my back. kind of cumbersome and heavy. i’m weary of unemployment and lockin. i am in a very tentative place with government benefits and requirements and i have to apply and reapply which ends up qualifying me and my family and disqualifying us too - alternately every 2 or so months. that is bleeping aggravating! then, i have to be honest, i am not happy with the way events in the world are playing out. it does not feel good being on what could turn out to be the losing side not because i don’t want to be a loser but particularly because i have sincere beliefs that i feel are being trampled upon. i just think that there is a way that all sides or most sides could really get together and find ways to accommodate everyone’s needs. but people are stubborn. i’d say “lets talk, learn and work together and not exclude a person’s sincere beliefs.”. to be that, is gratitude that i am living in a world and trying to account for everyone. i think we have to understand that intense beliefs and feeling are an indication that we may have gone a bit too far for understanding and compromise to come into the picture. i believe people should be willing to work together even with differences. i don’ think extremism is a positive thing. you may not like the beliefs of another but they have those beliefs nonetheless. we are not on this planet to impose and kill. we have to live together and what seems wrong to one is right for another.

3. Are you afraid of making mistakes even though there aren't any punishments at all?
if a mistake goes by without a hitch maybe its no big deal. without a hitch means it has not hurt anyone! if it did hurt, “punishment” will likely catch up with you. but we live in a world where we are trained by mistakes if... but if we make mistakes, the outcome is certainly punishment itself.

4. What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
probably get lazy, complacent, indifferent, annoying, abrasive, abusive, and generally be a person who is not much of a person.

5. Who is your role model? It can be on here or IRL or both.
i don’t think i have a role model on SF because i have great difficulty connecting with people in general and it happens here too. this causes me great grief all the time because i can’t get to know the people i’m attracted to well enough to know and admire as i’d like to and believe a person should. this is the situation in real life too. there are artists i think are great but i do not emulate them. i don’t look up to them as examples of who i should be. certain public figures also seem great but the same applies to them. but where did i get my values. i believe i have good values and are they natural or learned. maybe had role models already without realizing! but who they might be makes me wonder a bit. at the same time, i find i’m always struggling to be me and the more i find out who i am, the more questioning builds up in me. if i want a role model now i need a place to start and i feel as if i have not yet started.

If you are just waking up, I hope this is what you are seeing as you open your mind.

i’m asleep!
If you're going to sleep, I hope this will catch your eye, an amazing full moon shining

I’m awake!
my mind is open always even when my eyes are closed.

wishing all a very happy everyday 🌞🌝😊🌞🌝😊🌞🌝😊 and today too....

Thank you for opening the cafe today @Champagne and tagging me @Kiwi2016.
The questions help keep focus. Much appreciated.

1. When was the last time you did something for the first time?

On vacation last month, hiked a mile 1/2 up a canyon.

2. How do you show gratitude for the things you already have?

Wash my stuff. Say thanks in my head.

3. Are you afraid of making mistakes even though there aren't any punishments at all?

Made so many mistakes big, medium and small cant e afraid anymore.

4. What would you do if you knew you could not fail?

Always wanted to have an art exhibit for underpriveledged youth. Now I'd want to combine that with intergenerational spin and incorporate senior citizens on combined works of art with a theme. Examples could be world improvement related.

5. Who is your role model?

I dont have one, I often think about the families that struggle in war torn areas or soldiers that have fought for their countries, maybe at a young age. It's hard for me to pick.

Sunday breakfast is no different, it’s usually greek yogurt with cereals honey and banana…almost always in bed. I prepare a different one on special occasions. It involves champagne and a variety of cold cuts, cheese, and other yummy stuff so it’s better served on the table.

1. When was the last time you did something for the first time?
Today I cut my man’s hair for the first time. Successfully btw.*thumbsup

2. How do you show gratitude for the things you already have?
For the *things* I have I worked my ass off so I can only be grateful to myself. As for the people in my life, I show them I don’t take them for granted.

3. Are you afraid of making mistakes even though there aren't any punishments at all?
Not really afraid, I just don’t like feeling like an idiot.

4. What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
Get bored in no time.

5. Who is your role model? It can be on here or IRL or both.
I can’t say I ever had a role model but high respect for some people.

Have you ever tried making m&m pancakes? They're the best! At Halloween and Easter we make big ol messy any-kind-of-candy-crumble pancakes

If you like metal do you know Finntroll? They just put out a new album and I'm excited!
You also mentioned Henry Rollins. Have you seen He Never Died? Excellent, oddly hilarious movie, if you appreciate dry humor and don't mind gore/violence. It's on Netflix.
