What is your favorite movie?
Too many to list, or even remember off the top of my head. Check out my Great Movie Clips, I've posted many of them there.
Have you ever met a movie star or someone who worked on a movie?
I've met Jackie Mason, Jack Warden, Bebe Nuewirth, Curtis Sliwa, Margaret Cho...think that's it. Oh, and I spoke to Madonna on the phone once! Lol. It was because of a place I used to work at.

Morning everybody! The theme of today is... movies.

What is your favorite movie? Do you have a favorite actor or actress? Have you ever met a movie star or someone who worked on a movie?
hey thanks for the tag Classic. i have no favorite actors or actresses. i worked in a movie theatre many years ago in LA in the valley and well its easy to guess what would be walking in. back then.. farrah fawcett, telly savalas. who i remember at the moment. then in ny while i was still stupidly stuck in the same “career” i met james belishi. but what is meeting anyway? we did not have dinner together. we did not even discuss the front page of the LA or NY times. maybe not even a handshake though i did hand farrah a popcorn and maybe the same for telly. so why do i think i can be on a first name basis. did i meet them at all? wish i could have met glenda jackson back then. would have stopped everything for a conversation with her. now, talk about movies. i originally was hoping to go into cinematography in college. i had made my own movie. (here it is - the movie to talk about) it was an animation - stop action. it was fun. it was difficult and it did not get me into CalArts their first year as that school. it had been in (an)other form(s) prior. so my favorite movie is my own. and well i met a bunch of the people who made the totally unrealistic movie about folks like me. you know ET!

My favorite movie is "Pee Wee's Big Adventure."
My brother saw it. Then when my husband and I came to visit him, he told us that a friend of his had just seen it, and then had to take my brother to see it, and it snowballed. So by the time we visited my brother, he had seen it and loved it like 3 times already.
Then we all saw it over and over again.
No, we were not stoned.
It became something our son loved and on family road trips, we would play the soundtrack and then start quoting the movie!
I tend to like comedies above drama, so "Blazing Saddles" and "Young Frankenstein" are up there as are, "Animal House," and "The Blues Brothers."

Blues Brothers is a great film :) I've never seen Pee Wee's Big Adventure-I'll have to watch it some time.

Good morning all...I'm so hopeless on movies as even though I enjoy them can never remember the titles let alone the actors/actresses...but will give it a go...and these aren't in any particular order either...just as the grey cells recall them

1. The Shining
2. Philadelphia
3. The Wild Side
4. Forrest Gump
5. The Life of Brian
6. Classic Musicals- Singing in the Rain, South Pacific, My Fair Lady
7. ET
8. Out of Africa
9. The Devil Wears Prada
10. Erin Brokovitch
11. Fatal Attraction
12. Thelma and ******
13. Guess Whose Coming to Dinner
14. Desk Set
15. On Golden Pond
16. Casablanca
17. The Pink Panther (original)
18. The Grinch (original)
19. The Mask (with Cher)
20. Brokeback Mountain
21. Horton Hears a Who

As for actresses/actors would have to say Meryl Streep, Katherine Hepburn, Susan Sarandon and Sidney Poitier. Alas have never met an actor/actress though Val Kilmor at the debut of Dracula in DC did randomly touch my shoulder as went into theater...so not really sure if that counts...

wishing all a great Sunday of hopefully practicing the "fine art of doing nothing"....
