Thank you very much, that is sensible :)
What is fun is I have a picture of me wearing a t-shirt with that saying on. People do ask me what does that mean? Leaving the personal from being posted and it may not be allowed to post such... I do claim it would scare the shit out of folks. LOL :)

One more thing to all of you, I know 30 minutes exercise 5 days a week is the recommended amount to people of an average weight but how much is should I be doing to lose a good amount of weight and to get fitter?

All comments welcome :)
Best way I know of is and worked for me: slow and steady, be a tortoise and not a hare and if you slip back just tell yourself the world is not ending, don't feel bad if you cheat at times, it's a marathon not a sprint. People who lose a LOT of weight quickly are more likely to say I made it to a goal weight and then possibly overindulge. Everything in moderation, including some excess(but in moderation).

I would say if you lose half a pound a week is perfect. Many scoff at that but that does equal 26 pounds in a year. Just continue and go from there because you have all the rest of your life for this.

Don't think in terms of how much did I lose in the past week or two but in how much in 6 months or a year. Thinking long term like that means you are more likely to keep it off.

Recognize and accept that you are human and will: fail, falter and stumble like every one of us. Tomorrow is another day, another chance.

Thank you so much @KM76710 That really helps a lot, its sound advice. I would be ecstatic to lose half a pound a week, i certainly would not scoff at that. I had lost 42lbs over a period of about 2 years but I feel I have gained a lot recently but not weighing myself as its a trigger. I will weigh myself in a few months just to make sure I'm on the right track.

Thank you again, you are kind to offer great advice :)

You are most welcome. My motivation was hearing more than a few years ago that your A1c sugar count is more than a little bit high. Fear of diabetes is about the only one I have. Not so much the disease killing me but the complications that come from it. Just glad I could help in any way. :)
