I'd like to add, though, that the same applies to women. Feminine or not, being sensitive, and being cowardly and feeling entitled, are not the same :)
No, they're not the same. That's not what i meant to imply. I just see them go hand in hand a lot.

I know ^^ I was not contradicting you, but saying what you said in a different way to confirm your point :p haha

Or you mean that sensitivity and cowardliness go hand in hand a lot?

I'm not sure about that. I think you are sensitive, but not a coward. Same for me... And I know a lot of men like that, too. Although men struggle showing their sensitivity as well because of gender roles.

Have an appointment tomorrow that just feels hopeless even before I see the doctor. I honestly don't think he has a clue.

I can actually be a coward sometimes. But I see it differently when it comes to women. Some feminine qualities are okay for females. That may sound a bit old school of me, but that's just how I feel about it.

Honestly, 99% of that is just bitterness.

I can’t say anything about the dudes who say that shit online, since I don’t know their lives (just in case anyone reading this might get all butthurt).

But, in real life, every single guy I’ve ever known who has said that, and I mean every single one without exception, the real problem was that they were hypersensitive to rejection and so never actually tried to take things in a romantic direction with women (if they ever actually interacted with women in the first place).

You talk to them, trying to figure out where they’re coming from, and they’ll have two or three stories about women who rejected them and how affected they were by it. And that’s it, that’s their life story. Meanwhile, they don’t realize that the “assholes” who supposedly have so much romantic success are out there getting rejected by more women than that in an average week.

If a dude has a problem with our culture putting such an emphasis on men making the first move, I’m sympathetic to that. If a dude is socially awkward and thus finds it difficult to navigate the dating world, I’m sympathetic to that. If a dude is so lacking in self-awareness as to not recognize his own contribution to the problem, and so egotistical as to decide that the issue must be with everyone else, well then I’m all out of sympathy.
This is perfect.

Oki, I understand ;) I've learned over the years that I actually liked the exact same things in all genders, even when it's really hard to overcome conditioning.

You're right. They are hypersensitive to rejection. But the question is why they get rejected in the first place. For me, and I think a lot of other women, we like some masculine qualities. And it's just not attractive how some guys act. They think that it makes them look sensitive, in a good way, but in actuality it just makes them look like pussies. Like I said, I don't like cowards. I like men who can stand up for themselves and me if necessary.
Lol, yeah, it’s the two different implications of sensitive. Sensitive can mean “aware, able to perceive subtleties” or “has a strong reaction to the slightest stimuli.” Be sensitive like a fingertip, not sensitive like a canker sore.

I mean, in this particular context. I don't think in general you're a coward when it comes to finding love. You wouldn't be all whiny about not finding it without even looking for it :p lol
