Musings, ideas, what are you thinking about?

I don't feel as though I exist at all when I'm in a huge suburb, endless streets and massive highways and no culture, no shops, almost no parks and nowhere to walk or run except the streets.
More green space. Build parks and leave smallish areas undeveloped. Build around large trees or steep hills instead of flattening and smoothing everything and building where they used to be. Have a large variety of plans/blueprints when developing rather than just a couple, that way they each end up with their own character rather than just being rows and rows of identical houses.

Areas like that could be vibrant and pleasant places to be, if developers stopped at just making a handsome profit, rather than wringing every last possible penny out of a place before moving on.

@Fbr27 I have been thinking about that incident of yours , you went to that abandoned house because kids asked you to xD

Did you have any more incidents like such afterwards that incident?

Afterwards no.

Back when I was in college I used to trespass this rural property just so I could get back home earlier in the night (like 00 AM). Afterwards they built a small road on the place.

I used to walk around after midnight around my neighbourhood and other places when the streets were all empty. Didn't go to any place I knew it was dangerous though.

But I don't recommend doing those things. That's how you get shot by someone. I just do stupid things sometimes.

Ah I see. Walking alone seems kinda fun too.
I understand what you're saying but I also believe what is a little harm in some fun YK 😭

Was this rural property abandoned?

Nope.

I think someone lived there. It wasn't a big place.

For some of us, survival is an uglier concept than it is for others. We just endured too much for our continued existence to even aspire to being pretty. I wonder if that somehow invalidates the inherent validity of clinging onto what makes one survive. Tbh, i contemplate this question a lot.
After investing an interminable amount time and energy in survival, that drive eventually coalesced with my reason for being. I still aspire to an easy life like everyone else, but I’ve accepted (for lack of a better word) that I don’t need it to live on—not right away at least.

Antidepressants function as mood stabilizers more than its intended function. It’s portrayed as this drug that people take to feel okay, but I don’t even feel okay when I’m on them, and I’ve tried far too many. If I answer truthfully when my provider asks how my depression is, they’ll add another medication to the list or replace what’s already there with something equally ineffectual. Still, if I lie or omit my feelings, then my visits won’t serve me in any way but to keep up a schedule. I’m just fed up with this routine. It’s not the medication; it’s me. Medication may take the edge off, but it’s not going to give me a reason to fight.
