My gallbladder was removed yesterday, so, at least for me, there’s a fair amount of pain. I’m probably sitting at 5 right now. Part of the pain I experience is the shot I have to give myself twice a day (the needle doesn’t hurt at all. The actual med burns and bruises me.). Thankfully I can stop the shot once I’m stable on my blood thinner again.
That aside I have chronic shoulder pain which is a 4-5 most of the time, but on occasion it climbs easily to an 8, and I can’t do anything.
I also have all kinds of gut issues. There’s a very strong (and realistic) possibility that I have Chrohns. When I tell drs why I believe that they never argue or dismiss it. But my new GI doc says the only way to test for it is to do a colonoscopy, but I’m not due for one till I turn 50 next March. I had one about 10yrs ago, and I learned from that experience that I can’t do the prep (I threw up after drinking just a half glass of it). So not sure how that’s gonna work. Anyway, when I’m having particular flare ups the pain is easily a 9. It’s the only pain I’ve ever had that makes me feel like I’m gonna pass out from it, and I can say it’s worse than childbirth.
