Sometimes I wish that people just forgot me.

That is why suicide is something that makes sense in that way.

Be gone is better than be ignored, and better than being hated.

It is ridiculous to cry because some girl don't like, and even hate you. Because who cares?

No one should be forced to like anyone. What does it matters if one person doesn't like you?

But it matters to me. And if you get affected by someone don't liking you, it means that this person has power over you.

Anyway, I think she have a boyfriend for some time. I don't want to enter between someon's relationship and destroy eveything, though I barely talked to her.

The thing is that I never really did nothing except trying to befriend her online/irl or whatever

And people just hates me.

To explain it better: she sort of played violin close to me at this church for some years. I tried to just have a normal conversation with her but she just ignored me, and straight left places were I was in for no reason (I just know that it was me)

I've never ignored her except because of my shyness.

Never even talked to her more than 5 minutes.

i'm sorry that you are going through this @Fbr27 . sometimes it is something as simple as a personality conflict. i know there are some people i can't stand and for no good reason, they talk and i'm pissed. it's rare but it happens. it could also be the boyfriend feels threatened. since she obviously doesn't want anything to do with you i suggest you write her one more time. just say you don't know why she hates you and if she could explain it you'd appreciate it. and either way tell her you wish for her to be fappy. never write her again unless she contacts you first.

i know for a fact that other people like you here. it isn't the same as irl but you can make some meaningful friendships here. i have made many friends here , some very close. i think you should make friends here and strengthen and sharpen your skills here and then try to meet more frends irl

Got scammed.

I should have known better, I should have remembered. When a website offers a free trial, you better cancel before it ends... or you risk being forcibly subscribed and charged for the service for a whole year... and it's bloody expensive.

No customer service. Great. I'm mad.

it is very easy to forget when a free trial ends. on roku they always have free or really cheap rates from a week to 3 months. i always cancel that day. i still get the service until the end of free time. this way i don't forget and if i want to keep t i can turn auto renew back on. of course this doesn't work on everything but most things

I know the feeling. It is one of the reasons I always back out from the free trial anything online when they require a credit card entry to try the free trial. It is all in the fine print, sad to say but scammers abound.

Discussing something with someone in another thread got my mind onto my eldest sister, H. I made an effort a while ago to reach out an olive branch, and try to be a family again. But eventually we just stopped talking. I suspect i may have inadvertently sounded like i was pushing visiting granddad at her again, even though that wasn't my intent, either time. On Christmas too, which was a bit dumb of me, but i wasn't thinking on her strange, paranoid level, and i made a casual remark about having to be someone different around him, cos she was talking about having her mother-in-law over. We haven't spoken since, so i suspect that's become the basis of her case to form one of her eternal grudges.

But when i came out trans, and changed my name on fb (we were talking through Messenger, and i'm friends with her on there), i wondered to myself if she would ever say something about it to me. But nope. Not a peep. Among others, i've had an old friend i haven't spoken to in years resurface from his amazing life in Japan to ask about it and congratulate me, but apparently it doesn't merit a response from my own sister.

I dunno, the whole thing pisses me off. It's not like i created this distance between us. I was like 12 when she fucked off to Scotland, and she could have bothered to visit me, or find some way to stay in touch, but she didn't. You can't expect kids that age to make the effort. As an adult (which she was, like i'm now roughly the age she was then), you need to be the one to bridge the gap. But she was too busy concentrating on her personal fatwa against my dad for that i guess.

I thought it was bad when our uncle said to our granddad "will she turn up for mum's funeral?", and granddad's response was a justified "she better." I thought that would be the biggest indictment of her weird hypocritical apathy towards her family, that it was debatable she'd attend her own grandmother's funeral, but this feels worse somehow.

This isn't anywhere near as challenging as a funeral, it's a wonderful thing, i'm finally happy, and she's had months to get around to it. And she can't be arsed to emit a single peep about it. I think i'd actually prefer if she'd at least message me to say she's against it or something, at least that would justify why she isn't even acknowledging it. I'd literally sooner she was a bigot than that she cared that little about me.

Family's so weird and complicated.

first i mean no disrespect to anyone trans . i don't understand completely why a person wants to be trans but from my time here on SF i understand more. i do realize it is a very personal decision that requires a lot of effort and sometime trauma. i also found out it makes people very happy and live with a lot less stress when complete.

what a person has for personal equipment doesn't really matter what really matters is the personalty inside. i am no expert by any means but i understand how it can help some people. i don't bring up conversations wth people that are trans but i'm always willing to discuss or listen. as far as i'm concerned you are a person period, a very good and kind person.

i'm sorry about your sister. i have a brother i didn't speak to for 20 years and i didn't care if he was dead or alive. late last year i looked him up and met him. he was supposed to call me to meet up my way. he never called and that was almost 9 months ago, i will never do it again.

when you are feeling good maybe you could try to see if she wants a relationship with you irl. i hope you can be successful but either way you offered the olive branch and it's up to her to take it or not. i'm hoping it works out for you

I really appreciate you saying that, Mike. I think ultimately, that's all most trans people want, we just want people to see us for the person we are, regardless of what our parts are or were. I honestly think the world would be infinitely safer and easier for people like us if everyone could think like you about it. :)
And for what it's worth, i think you're a very good and kind person yourself. *hug

And i appreciate you acknowledging that whether or not it succeeds, i tried, and that matters. Cos i also spoke to my dad about it between these posts, and he said the thing i'm so fed up of hearing: "I just want you both to get on, you should try again." I'm tired of people saying that, cos it feels like it's putting the responsibility solely on me, like i can make the relationship work whether or not she's even trying.

You said the one thing i want to be added to that statement - an acknowledgment that it's not my fault if it isn't working, it's not that i just didn't try hard enough and "need to try again", like i'm Sisyphus pushing that bloody boulder up the hill. I'm sick of people's good intentions making them inadvertently blame me for the failure of a relationship she keeps sabotaging. So sincerely, thank you for expressing the good sentiment they mean to, without putting it all on me. ❤️

i'm sorry about your sister. i have a brother i didn't speak to for 20 years and i didn't care if he was dead or alive. late last year i looked him up and met him. he was supposed to call me to meet up my way. he never called and that was almost 9 months ago, i will never do it again.
Yeah, that's the funny thing, i'd barely thought about her for years. Then one night, as i was getting ready to move to uni, she clearly got absolutely hammered, and hit me up with this verbal diarrhoea about how mum's ashes weren't at rest, and their relationship was so complicated, and "Why aren't we close now? We used to be close. 😭" And now i knew that apparently she did want a relationship with me this whole time, she'd just done bugger all to maintain it, or repair it. And i've been annoyed about it any time i think of her since.

As i say, like you, i eventually got it in my head to try and give salvaging it a go, but then i stopped policing my words for a single moment, made one totally innocent comment, and that seems to be the end of that. And now i never want to try that again, i want to leave her be unless she actually tries. And some stupid bit of me thought that with this, maybe she would. But i guess not.

I'm sorry that you had a similar experience with your brother. I'm intimately familiar how frustrating that feeling is, when their being family drives you to want that connection with them, but they just make it feel impossible. I hope he doesn't weigh too heavily on your mind still. *sadhug

My finances are a shambles.

In looking at them, two things cause the biggest expense, food and medical care.

I've already put off the procedures the vascular surgeon wants, plus dental work.

I'm going to the food bank Friday morning and will go to another food bank next week, as I have simply run out of money. The problem with food banks (don't get me wrong, I am grateful) is the foods they give aren't, for the most part, diet friendly.

Not being able to keep up financially is a crushing weight.

I have a budget (which is a fairly new thing) and I am trying to stick to it.

How am I supposed to deal with all this is my question to myself.

Angie, I'm sorry
I know about financial challenges, being new to a budget, and getting my groceries from a food pantry
I wouldn't have medical and dental care if it wasn't for county programs for low-income persons
I'm fortunate that the hospital gave me financial assistance for my heart surgery
I wish you the best

peace
:)

Sorry to hear this Angie. People should not have to struggle for the basics, while, at the same time celebrities, CEOs and sports stars are rolling in the money. We are a country with seriously messed up priorities. And the past years inflation only makes things much worse. I wish I had some suggestions but really don't.

Sorry you're in this position to begin with, but if you need help budgeting, from personal circumstances I'm a bit of a pro. :)

The stinking cost of living. Makes one seriously wonder if its worth it. Just got my energy bill for the month. Over the next two years that want to raise natural gas by over 20%. Electricity by just a little bit less. I don't know how they expect seniors, or anyone on limited income to pay it. I sent emails voicing my concerns; for whatever good that will do. A lot of the increase is for green energy costs. A worthy project, but one that is breaking the bank of many. I can only hope that I don't live much longer because I cannot afford to.

Had an unfun, difficult, and stressful training on Friday, and it made me feel bad about myself. It started at noon when I normally go into work at 1, so it was annoying to have to go in an hour early, and then it finished around 5 so I had to do the rest of a shift after that, when it would have been better to be able to just go home and decompress afterwards.
I was also already pretty annoyed about it because they had originally scheduled me for Tuesday but canceled that session and forgot to let me know, so I came in an hour early that day for no reason. I did get overtime pay for being there the extra hour, but I would have preferred to just stay home and relax longer.

greedy corporations that are sliding people into homelessness. they are buying trailer parks and doubling and triple sometimes more. they are also after landlords with multy unit buildings and offering more than market value. then they hike the rents. i was paying $775 last year and now i'm $1150. they are throwing us out so they can renovate and get over 2k for it. i don't know how they sleep at night
