It's always so difficult to organize to see all my friends at once. We have to book a date months in advance to see anyone.

But guess what... When you tell them on very short notice that you're getting married (just in a council) and if they want, they can come despite us not making official invitations, they are suddenly all available and even willing to do the trip from abroad!

It was supposed to be tiny and relaxed. I was relaxed. But now I have a small party (15 guests) to organize in 2 weeks! I am happy to have so many people I love coming, but I am suddenly overwhelmed!

Plus I hate making phone calls. *tears in my eyes at the thought*

My very controlling mother made the phone calls and organized it all in 5 minutes. She's a blessing sometimes...

My therapist told me a little over a month ago that she had to drop some people (including me) off her caseload due to being promoted to a more supervisory position. The clinic is able to keep me waiting more than a month while they're supposed to be matching me with someone else. But when it was on my end and I had issues scheduling within a month at the beginning of this year, they sent me a letter warning me I might get dropped from therapy altogether.

Maybe, you might be able to check-in with them... & just to see, how things are going?

Yeah, I'll call if I remember to tomorrow. I keep forgetting until it's too late in the day. One time years ago (at the same clinic) my therapist at the time ended up getting sick and no one really knew what was going on, and I kept not hearing anything. I even see my psychiatrist at the same place, and she didn't find out anything for me either. At that point I was lucky that I was doing an LGBTQ+ group, because IIRC the group leader ended up just taking my case because no one else was doing anything about it. But I have had probably 3+ successful transitions between therapists at this clinic since then.

Ok, good. And if you encounter any problems, or issues... You can always seek the help of your former therapist, who is now in a more supervisory role.

I regret moving back in with my parents when I had the chance to live abroad by myself. I had to go back home because of depression at the time, and because I thought I would feel better if I came back home, but I was wrong. And now there’s really nothing I can do, I’m stuck here. I hope I can do something about it soon. I just saw a video of someone talking about how grateful they are for moving out at 18. They said it gives them peace and sanity. I want that too.

The good thing is: now you know, what that is like. And, as you've said - you didn't before (so there was no way of predicting in advance, how it would be & it didn't much sound like you'd had a choice, given the way you were feeling). Sometimes you can go home again. And sometimes you can't..;)

Also always possible; you go abroad instead. And collapse (due to the depression). And then are kicking yourself for being stuck in a horrendous situation there. (that is different) / So. . . It's difficult to live by, the "What if's?" in Life- that said, we ALL Do it! :)

I could've written that a few years ago. I moved out at 18, but came back at 23 and thought it was a good time to save some money and all that. Big mistake! However, it is not impossible to still move out in the future. It will make your life and health significantly better, so don't give up on that goal. *hi5

I swear to god, every time my mom comes home, I instantly feel anxious, it's like my body knows that she's gonna do something shitty to me. I've said this a million times and I'm gonna keep saying it, god I can't wait to move out.

i know exactly how that feels with my own mom. Only thing is, she moved back in with me. i hope she finds somewhere else to go soon.

i hope you will be able to get your own place soon *sadhug

Can't wait for the rebranding! :)
I hate when my necessities are ignored because people don't think they are real.
I passed my whole life thinking I was just broken, when I discovered that Nop, I just have ADHD and I'm not stupid or retarded, my daily struggles have a motive, and it can be helped. It lifted a HUGE WEIGHT off of my shoulders.
Now I have a boss who doesn't believe its real. And he makes sure to tell me that EVERY TIME I MESS UP SOMETHING.
Oh go fuck your pretty ass, you asshole. You can't just take my traumas and struggles and just deny it happened.

....
Sorry I had to vent.

It's been hot out lately, and there was a lot of wind and storms. I went home last night after work to a power outage in my building. So frustrating. It turned back on this morning, but it was just a crappy welcome home after a long and hot day. I didn't know to expect it because there were some outages in different areas, but I couldn't really predict.
