Do people even know how to drive without eyes focused on a cell phone in their face. Any concept of the danger to themselves and others? People don't even pay attention to the white lines anymore. Baffles me that people don't understand they can't focus on the road and other drivers when looking at a 4 inch screen at the same time. WTH. Sad and beyond irresponsible.
too true
One of those people was driving a large truck, while on his phone, and hit and almost killed my daughter. It took a helicopter to bring her from lying in the road, to an emergency room and then 5 years of operations and rehab to re-start her life. She was 19 when it happened.

The billboard is right: If you're driving, get your hands off of it.

What amazes me is when I go to the supermarket and see people pushing a handcart around which is literally overflowing while they've got 2 or 3 kids in tow with them. They're not even economising by putting no brand items in the cart - all the most expensive stuff. Then it's like £300 at the checkout. Then they roll the cart out to a car which is then filled with expensive petrol. I just think, where the HELL do they get all their money from? I am technically not on a low income but I can just about afford my housing and to live. I could not afford to feed another mouth or run a car, I scrimp using public transport and walking as much as possible. As a single person it's getting close to impossible. I was working an extra job up to a few months ago but I was getting exhausted and had to stop. I may have no option but to do that again!
I’m right there with you, friend. I work in a grocery store 5 days a week, and every day I see this exact thing you mention. It seems like people are buying the same things, despite rising prices. I’m barely making it too, and I regrettably feel resentful at times.

I hate to hear that you are being boxed in with your options and will need a second job. One job is exhausting enough, and two seems impossible! My job has been cutting hours with no end in sight, and I stress every day about having to get a second job, myself. I’m here to talk about this any time you want/need to.

Sending you hugs!

I guess there was a miscommunication when I called my psychiatrist's office because I called and asked for my one refill by name (which sounds nothing like the other one), but she sent in the wrong one, and I didn't notice until late in the evening since I was sleeping off my overnight work shift all day after calling, so it's too late to get it fixed until after the weekend. And I use a mail-order pharmacy so it will take a bit for it to ship too. I tried to plan right to get it on time, but I might not.
Called in about it today and it’s not even showing up in the system for my doctor’s office. Probably because I get a 3 month supply and miss some days so it’s been a while since I’ve refilled it. But now it’s even more of a massive pain to deal with.

I hate that my wonderful colleague is going to take PTO for 3 days next week. That means she would leave me alone while I'm still in so much need of here help. I don't want to do it with my manager. He will definitely not be helping. I hate it. I know it's her right to do that but I hate being left alone doing it.

What a convoluted Invasive time consuming world this has become.

I just sent a complaint about a product to Dr Bronners, a company I've used for almost 50 years. Letting them know why I was not going to use a product of theirs any longer which is a real pain in the butt since it's toothpaste. To get to an actual point of contact with them after pushing the contact button was ridiculous. And then to find out after sending the message I created that I was opening myself up to having my email and info shared and had to enter into a process of exercising my rights to have the cookies removed and for them to have a documented refusal from me to not share.
I'm ready for getting off the grid. Something that could have taken 5 minutes of my time turned into more than 30. What a joke this world is sometimes.

it used to be if there was an issue with a product they took it seriously. of course they weeded out people that always did it to get free stuff. one time at hanneford ( i think it was another name ) i bought a pound of rice. when we got home we noticed a lot of little black bugs. we returned it to the store unopened. they removed all of that brand from the shelf. they had a double money back policy , i said just give me another brand but they insisted. i thought the matter was closed and i was satisfied. about a week or two later we got a heavy box delivered. it was a 25 pound box of rice. all different kinds of rice they sell, some really expensive products. in it was a hand written letter apologizing for the situation and the rice was a thank you for bringing it to ther attention. that wouldn't happen today

Your story is bittersweet to me. It was the way things were. There were more private and family owned businesses and they and even many corporate ones had respect for their customers. Thank you for sharing it*hug

The doctor had never called me about my prescription like she was supposed to, but I went into the office today because I get my therapy there too. I decided to see if they could help me at the front desk, so I explained the whole story, that I'd already tried calling in, but the wrong medication was sent and I was told I'd have to speak to my doctor about it. I guess they didn't listen to me fully or at least didn't pass the message along properly, because after my therapy session, I had a voicemail from the RN who works with my doctor saying that I'd have to talk to the pharmacy since the prescription was sent. So I had to go back to the front desk and remind them that the prescription that was sent was for the wrong medication. They called the nurse back and told her that, then they asked what medication I was actually looking for, then I was told that it was going to be sent soon. A little later I got an email from the pharmacy saying they don't carry the medication that was ordered so I would have to get it sent somewhere else. But I confirmed that it is still available on the website, so I think they wrote something wrong on the prescription. But I can't see fully what they wrote because the email only gives me the first 3 letters of the name.
Sometimes I don't know why I bother to try.

Oh god it's only Friday and I'm already thinking and getting scared about this! My manager did say that he will call me first thing on Monday morning, to give me some instructions. I really hope that he will help and not just get annoyed if I ask him things. I mean as a leader he should be helping his staff!!!

Many people don’t always fully listen. They are often distracted or thinking of what they will say next. Sometimes they don’t let you finish your sentence at all, and interrupt to talk about themselves. I miss the times when society as a whole wasn’t so self-centered and hyper-consumed.

My brother decided to call after 3 years and 4 months of not talking. It sent me into a bit of a downward spiral. Although I so wanted to talk to him, left voicemails and texts, he wouldn't respond. He had done it to me before and I didn't know why. A full year after spending hours talking on the phone with me. He had a problem when it came to talking about our past. We do share trauma. I missed him so much I fucked it up myself .. he called yesterday morning. I told him everything in basically summed up in 10 minutes of my life. He said nothing of his. So this morning I got angry, I didn't shout at him but I said ''If you think it's ok to wait 3 years and 4 months to call me, just to listen to all my crap I still have....'' He said ''No, I don't need it , bye'' Now i'm crying because I probably said something I shouldn't have. I waited all this time to have my brother to reconnect to and i've got to blame myself for not just acting normal.
