I have a rubber chicken, no big deal there. I guess it's just something I'm insecure about. I even had a friend once who planned to see me, said he had everything ready and it would take a half hour to fly there. Well he cancelled at the last minute, I was so hurt I was weeping loudly for days at a time. This is when I was more affected by being hurt, I guess I'm more used to it now. So I think if people can't even travel that short distance, why would anyone else take the time to come and see me?
I totally can relate. It usually seems like no one will ever come visit me. And I even live in a cool place! People are flakes, try not to take it personally. *hug

I have a phobia of spiders, I can't even kill one I call to my wife to rescue me. *hiding
Lol, my wife was the spider-killer in our house too.

when I was about 5 my grandmother gave me a glass of milk and at the bottom was a spider as big as the bottom of the glass
Thanks for the awesome nightmare I’m gonna have tonight!

funny story I had a close friend we both had seasonal spots at the campground. every year she would say you should come down to florida this year and every year I said maybe this year. one year when I said that she said you always say that but never come. well a few days later I said i'd come if she could take our money every month and buy airline tickets and tickets to theme parks etc. we had full use of her car a nice bedroom and could come and go any time (we did spend a lot of time with her.)

That is awesome, I wish I had friends I could spend time with and visit them, that would be a blast.

Yeah no kidding, that sounds like a bit of a nightmare  Is there any other way they can get to their appointments?
My mother could drive, but she’s daunted by how “far” the clinic is. It’s literally a straight drive from where I see my nurse practitioner, and we’ve driven there once a month for a year, but she still claims to not know how to get there.

I'm posting this here as I know it would be petty to most people but for me it's anything but. I'm sitting on the bus and 2 people in front of me are reading newspapers and rustling very loudly. I'm autistic and currently very stressed so my senses are in overdrive. The constant sound is having the effect on me that dragging fingernails down a blackboard has on other people. I have my headphones in and music playing but it's one of those sounds that just penetrates everything.

Since the bus to Edinburgh takes over an hour, it's going to be a long trip!! I'm pretty sure it's possible to read a paper without so much shaking... *cry*
