It is Christians who blame the evils that befall them on the Devil,

I once heard "God never gives you more than you can handle", which is a lie, if it were true then none of us would even consider suicide or have friends, family or ever heard of someone committing it.
I don't blame every evil that befalls me on the devil. Ecclesiastes 9:11-12 talks about circumstance and chance happening.

I finally figured out the thing about what I can handle. When the bigger stuff is there I tell God I can't handle it. I do my part in a situation (if I truly have a part) then I step back for others or God to take care of the rest or to let go of. I have learned a lot about how to let go this way.

How can their be chance in a world governed by an omnipotent, omniscient God? All things everywhere happen with his consent, passively allowing it to happen or consciously causing it.

Assuming God is omniscient and omnipotent.
Consider, Satan knows the bible, so why would he challenge God in the end of days if he knows God can not lose?

Keep spewing your hatred, keep telling me I am going to hell, I will believe in no God that would condemn a man to such a fate. You are not just in your hate, and your words are so vile that I can no longer comprehend them. If your God exits I spit on him for being worse than Stalin, worse than Hitler. I find no justice in punishment, I revel not in the damned, will you look upon me in me hell and smile? Are you so unkind? So corrupted?

Granted this is a generalization; there are certainly people out there that have read the bible back and forth and still believe it. That said a very popular study shows something interesting: Persons that identified themselves as atheists or agnostics got the best test scores by a significant margin on a test about religion.
Only 25% of the U.S. population are college graduates. Not everyone who believes the Bible is a Bible scholar. I put both of these statements here because most of the population have other things to do than study stuff.

Additionally, atheists have amassed a lot of Bible information intellectually, but being intellectual can hurt matters of the heart and faith. I say this because those who are intellectual look down on those who aren't because they see those who aren't are intellectual as boring to them.

What if those physicists said to you "physics is my life! In runs in my veins and I can feel it! It controls all aspects of my life!" and then you found out they couldn't tell you the 3 Newtonian laws of motion? You'd call them pretentious idiots that don't really care enough to even read a basic physics textbook.
I don't call people idiots. To do so accomplishes nothing.

To attack beliefs is not to 'bash someone'. It's to attack a belief. You are not your beliefs. To have one's logic corrected is a service, not an attack. I enjoy to go to math class and receive a better understanding of math by having my mathematical understanding be challenged as illogical when it's illogical.

If you believe that 0.9999999 repeating does not equal 1 then here's how you learn.

If 0.9999999 repeating isn't equal to 1 then mathematics is logically inconsistent because of this proof:

x = 1/3 and 1/3 = 0.3333333 repeating

3x therefore = 3/3 and 3/3 = 1
3x can also be calculated as 0.3333333 repeating multiplied by three, or:
3x = 0.9999999 repeating

So we can conclusively prove that 3x is both 0.9999999... and 1

To let someone persist in misconception is to do them a disservice because it will skew their logic.
Go back to the post that prompted the response from me. I was labled with a feeling, then derided for it.

Chance happeneth comes with his consent. He gives room for people to experience consequences from their mistakes.

Most Christians do not spew hate. I can see you are very angry towards Christians and God. I am not here to convert you. I participate in these discussions to share information and answer questions about the Bible.

The Bible says Satan is very angry and seeking to destroy.
Yes but Satan is also tremendously powerful and has knowledge of the bible, even anger couldn't force someone to act that stupidly.
Not someone who has proven to be both intelligent and powerful.
Satan wasn't treated fairly, he was told to do one thing by God and was cast out for not listening, but if we don't listen to God, we get as many chances as we want.
I am not saying I worship Satan, just saying it's not fair.

When roughly half of the Catholics don't know about transubstantiation, half the protestants don't know who Martin Luther is and 3/5 Jews don't know Maimonides was a Jew there's a case to be made that people within a religion tend to have a lacklustre understanding of it. If you got a group of physicists together and only half could even tell you the basics about Newtonian mechanics they'd be really bad physicists and you'd never hire them, no?

What if those physicists said to you "physics is my life! In runs in my veins and I can feel it! It controls all aspects of my life!" and then you found out they couldn't tell you the 3 Newtonian laws of motion? When you design an aeroplane the important thing is that it flies. The state of being of the designer is not important.

Spiritual knowledge is to create a state of being, the knowledge itself is not important.

All knowledge is lost when you leave the physical body.

So what’s the point of learning a language at age ninety if it just gets lost?

You will take the skill of learning with you.

I’m reminded of the great Bobby Fisher (chess) who left his body recently. Such a remarkable talent who gave so much joy to so many, but left bitter and twisted.

Now, with no knowledge or understanding of why he is the way he is, he will have to struggle to resolve these issues.

The other interesting thing shown is that people belonging to a certain religion tend to be most ignorant of other religios; the Christians had more trouble telling you to which religion the Dalai Lama belongs or similar questions. How can you honestly say that you believe in the Christian God when you haven't studied other religions to see if they make a better case?
Someone who is good at designing aeroplanes doesn’t need to know about the stresses acting on reinforced concrete.

The state of the designer is important; a designer high on PCP is unlikely to create designs that will be able to operate within safety protocols.

Spiritual knowledge is to create a state of being, the knowledge itself is not important.
And how is it that state is achieved? By reading the Bible according to every Christian I've ever heard of; you're to read the Bible and in doing so hear the stories of God to let you see him in ways you cannot by sitting about. You're meant to read of Jesus' life and follow suit. God gave homework and all too many of his supposed followers aren't meeting their deadline!

All knowledge is lost when you leave the physical body.
[citation needed] I'll agree it's reasonable to assume physical death means that the collected knowledge dies, but it's not reasonable to assume that we in any way do survive said death.

So what’s the point of learning a language at age ninety if it just gets lost?
I never instructed anyone to do so, I said that they should have read the bible at least five times over by 90 if they're Christian; they should have read the teachings of God as they'd refer to it, and read it again to gain everything they can.

Furthermore if one can say "Why bother at age 90, you're so near death" why is that any different from saying "Why bother at all, you're so near death compared to the life of the cosmos".

You will take the skill of learning with you.

[Context to explain relevance needed]

Now, with no knowledge or understanding of why he is the way he is, he will have to struggle to resolve these issues.
He's dead, and even if I were to grant you the assumption he'd have to work out such things post-mortem I'd say that you didn't know the man's mind and for all you know he was was the most self-aware man on Earth.

Someone who is good at designing aeroplanes doesn’t need to know about the stresses acting on reinforced concrete.
Actually they do pretty much, as it turns out physics is a rather portable thing. To understand the physics related to stress on the hull of a plane and whatnot will very quickly allow you to understand how it would act on concrete in, say, a dam. The basic concepts are all still there, you just need to pick up a few experimentally derived variables such as the difference in stress tolerance between concrete and a plane hull.

That's the thing that's so wonderful about reason; it's portable. I can take the logic of mathematics and apply it directly onto rhetoric and in doing so can find fallacy. I can take the concept of the conservation of mass and energy and, even if I had no prior education on the matter, could quickly understand where all the energy comes from in a fission reactor. In time I can also see how the physics ties into concepts in chemistry or biology. All sorts of things.

If I take the teachings of the bible I can go out and... well... not do so much really. I can't use it to accurately determine the outcome of a scenario nor can I use it to understand other fields or how they interconnect. In theory I can use it to learn the ritual of prayer and petition God for assistance, but that's not shown to be effective... Ah, here we go. I can cure leprosy with it!

Leviticus 14:49-53 said:
And he shall take to cleanse the house two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:

And he shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water:

And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times:

And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet:

But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an atonement for the house: and it shall be clean.
Ah, nevermind. I can only cure my house of leprosy, my bad...

Of course it’s true!

You can handle everything that happens to you, including suicide, because you created it.

You won’t create anything you can’t handle; you know where to draw the line.

*

It helps to remember that you are experiencing everything that is happening to you, but nothing is actually happening to the one who is experiencing.

Keeping this separation between you and your experience is your protection.

Suicidal feelings are separate from you. There is you and there is the feeling of suicide. These feelings come and go but you are always here.

Don’t give those feelings any energy and eventually they will leave you. Anything you give attention to grows whilst anything you ignore eventually disappears.

Yes it’s hard work but it’s also the only way to heal your self. And you develop strength and character through this process.

Going through this process for many years can keep you subdued but that also protects you from running around in the world like a half-wit, damaging the planet and hurting other people.

This is the only way that the real beauty, deep meaning and significance of life that you crave will be revealed to you.

Aren’t you tired of this ridiculous, artificial, confusing and meaningless old world?

If not, you soon will be.

What matters and what doesn’t matter?

See how we waste our time and energy.

We could argue about this all day and get nowhere. I studied mechanical engineering for seven years and I would disagree with you. But your opinion is equally valid.

But who cares.

Citation needed.
(A quoting of an authoritative source for substantiation.)

Yes, now this really does matter, this is the whole point.

The only authoritative source is your own self.

That is what spiritual knowledge is teaching.

And we do know the answers to all these questions and you will keep struggling and searching until you find them.

Do you think the storyline in these videos accurately portray what the Bible says?
No, I just like showing people that clip, I think the characters are funny.
Though the portrayal of Lucifer seems more close to what you'd expect if a brother had to kill another.

There are many things I won't accept from the bible, especially the role of many women.

#60
Why do you think that God asked Lucifer to love humans more than God.

The Bible says that Lucifer wanted to set his throne higher than God's throne, to become God.
Maybe Lucifer could do better than God?

Oh and I have a question for you, not an attack, just a question.
Have you sold everything you own?
And in Luke 18:22 he says:
“… sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.”
