@Petal It's the end of september already?:eek::eek: Oh god how fast. I started doing excercise in the mid of the month so I don't feel I've lost much weight, plus, I don't have a scale. Maybe tomorrow I buy one, hm...

I still need to improve my diet and other healthy habits like sleeping well and being less stressed (although this is more complicated lol)

I hope in october we all see diferences in our body, that's a big motivator to keep doing it

@merlin123 October being here so fast is scary lol I know right, the time is flying.

Well done for your exercise and healthy lifestyle changes, you are superb to have around here giving us lots of motivation :)

I too hope we notice differences mentally and physically in October. Do you have a goal for October?

Try relaxing before bed in a bath with a book :) Sleep hygiene is very important to our health, personally i listen to relaxation videos on youtube before sleep time or sometimes even fall asleep while listening, try it hun, it might help to de-stress you too :)

I bought a really expensive scales a while back and it sucks, don't waste your money, get weighed by your doctor or nurse when seeing them anyway, that is what i do.

@Petal Hm... for october I guess I'll keep doing what I've been doing these days, but I'll try to have healthier breakfasts and more fruit

Yes! I don't have much time for a bath but I take a shower at night, and when I'm ready to go to sleep I start reading some books I have until I can't read anymore because of how sleepy I get

I was thinking of buying a really cheap one lol. If they don't work as they should then maybe I could go to a pharmacy and use theirs, I don't have time to go to the doctor :(

@merlin123 That is a great goal you have there, keep it going :)

I think going to the pharmacy to get weighed is a great idea, when you have a scale at home you could use it too much and it can be off putting if you're not seeing the desired results. Maybe make a date every month to get weighed and stick with it and you'll probably have accurate results :)

Keep reading the books, that will definitely help you fall asleep, also you could buy a little bottle of lavender and put some drops on your pillow and bed clothes, it is very relaxing and will help keep your mind calm. Good luck hun.

So my goals for Sept were:

* cut down on the amount of carbs I'm eating, particularly bread. I've cut down on bread but maybe need to reduce other carbs a bit more. I eat quite a lot of potatoes.
* cut down on the amount of alcohol I'm drinking. I'm going to try to have at least 3 alcohol free days a week. I've done this, which I'm really pleased about. I'm going to aim for cutting down even more for October.
* exercise more. Go for a walk of at least 30 minutes 3 times a week, do at least 8000 steps every day and do some toning exercises 3 times a week. I've done well with this and have gone for walks of at least 30 at least 3 times a week. There have been some days when I've done less than 8000 steps, but, on average, I've done about 10000. I've only managed toning exercises about twice a week so need to improve on that in October.
* drink more water and green tea. I've done week with this one, especially in the last week, so need to keep that up :)
* lose 4 pounds. Unfortunately I've only lost a pound, so feel quite disheartened, but I'm going to keep trying.

Awesome @Woowoo you have done fantastic, hopefully the weight loss will be better for you this month and you can move forward into fitting into that beautiful gown. We've got 12 weeks to get you into it, we can do it, team SF :)
Potatoes aren't too bad, its what we put on them is the problem I think.
Good going with the steps and green teas.

Are you going to make new goals for October?
