Suicidal Thoughts - Are you Feeling Suicidal Today?

I am now being asked to check in once a month with the Jobcentre, as though lifelong mental health issues that once became so severe I spent almost a month in hospital will just "Go away". All because the UK government thinks people should be in work, as though we wouldn't be if we could be.

I have written evidence from doctors, counsellors and a psychiatrist I have been seeing for literally years I am not fit for work with my mental health issues. Why am I still here with this level of stupidity in this world?

Not really, just extremely frustrated and disappointed in my efforts to move towards healthy sleep/exercise/nutrition patterns. My eyeballs have been itching for a week, too. Probably due to forest fire smoke. I can't see it or smell it directly as sometimes I can, but the local news station is saying it could be bad for people with breathing problems. This would explain the sudden onset of lungs burning with the slightest amt of exercise too.

In short, not in this moment, but I'm losing my grip from accumulated stress.

intrusive thoughts. You'd think I would have gotten used to them now, as I did with my 24/7 tinnitus that I've had since kindergarten (had an ear infection that ruptured the eardrum and tinnitus constantly ever since). The tinnitus doesn't bother me, but I will be making progress on my to-do list, and the thoughts come in and tell me that it's all hopeless so why try. Nobody really cares about me so no one would miss me, really. They might think so but after my exit they would soon forget about me. I know these are all lies. I guess I'm not strong enough yet to weather the constant negative brow beating I do to myself. Don't let it get me down? Sounds like a great idea - how?

I'm trying to help someone and listen and terrified I'm not enough
You are enough, sometimes someone being willing to just sit down and listen to someone in a crisis helps. Sadly, many of the medical staff who are meant to help often aren't up to the job, I have tried a LOT to find some good one's.

As for me? Just want gone. But no easy way out without ruining everyone who cares about me...
