UGH! Such an emotional roller coaster. Are you ok?
We all want a fabulous neurosurgeon available in an emergency, but its a lot less fabulous to get put on hold because of said emergency! πŸ€ͺπŸ˜…

Yes I'm OK, met my neurosurgeon for the first time. He seems very kind and empathetic, also had warm soft hands *hysterical. Not sure why his hands put me at ease.
I now know when I have the surgery recovery once I get home will be 4 to 6 weeks. During that time period I'm not allowed to bend over, so I'm going to have to train Tammy cat to eat off a small table so I can feed her. He did say I could squat (my weight makes that hard) but that it would really hurt. All my neck muscles will be cut so it's going to take some time to heal. *hugThank you for checking how I am.

warm soft hands are VERY important! He will be using those hands to care for our precious friend! I am glad it was a comfort.
so, will you be a real life bobble head? 🀣.
I imagine youβ€˜ll have a neck brace them slowly get strength, & back to baseline.
i bet Tammy cat will learn quickly. She’ll look at you crazy wondering why she can get up on a table!
Squatting. Ugh. My knees ache just hearing the word! it might be worth getting a cane or walker around during recovery. Having something to help stabilize you could be helpful.
i am glad you are ok. πŸ˜€

@FlamingoWrangler I don't believe they use a neck brace afterwards. Guessing pain keeps me from moving silly.
Yes Tammy cat will think I'm crazy, she has never been allowed on tables or the kitchen bench.
I already use a walking cane but hoping after I recover my balance will improve and I'll no longer need one.
i am excited about the possibilities for you!

Whilst out buying things I need yesterday I found an ant crawling on the back of my neck. I felt it biting me. Today woke up with a slight reaction to the bites, welts go up into my hair.

Really hope this doesn't stop the surgery from going ahead. I'm being extra careful not to scratch them and have someone picking up a cream from my pharmacy.
