Hydrocortisone cream/antihistamine tablets (if compatible with any concurrent meds) should help to bring it down. Can apply a cold compress (eg face flannel soaked in cold water) for brief intermittent applications. As such it doesn't look infected (increased redness around the puncture marks/noticeable increased level of swelling) as that would probably require treatment with Fusidic Acid and or Flucloxacillin. If it's infected then that may impact on your surgery date, but of course that wil be for the consultant to decide on.
Best thing to do is a wait and see progress as to whether those bites will recede over the next few days.

I found an ant crawling on the back of my neck. I felt it biting me. Today woke up with a slight reaction to the bites, welts go up into my hair.
If I had been waiting as long as you have for surgery, and it turned out that it had to be delayed again because some ******* ant decided to bite me, that would really piss me off.

I guess if it turned out that there was another delay, you could always imagine that somehow the delay would result in the surgery going better.
