Carthage (in modern day Tunisa) Ancient enemy of Rome.. destroyed completely after the third punic war.. every man woman and child killed or sold into slavery by the Romans..the land was sowed with salt so that nothing would ever grow again and no one was ever allowed to build anything near the site of the city in perpetuity on pain of death.

Euphrates river / Erida city [below Ur, as shown in the map] (Mesopotamia)
Formed by the confluence of the Karasu and Murat rivers in the Armenian Highland, the Euphrates descends between major ranges of the Taurus Mountains to the Syrian plateau. It then flows through western and central Iraq to unite with the Tigris River and continues, as Shatt Al-Arab, to the Persian Gulf.
