What I really need is to be with the one girl I love 
I have to agree. I'm Canadian and I know that supposedly Americans hear bad stuff about the Canadian system from "sources" with agendas, and yes there are flaws but I will take it over the US system any day. My brother has several doctors collaborating on planning his cancer treatment, and it costs him $0. He's had a CT scan, an MRI and may have a Pet scan, and it costs him $0.
Today my brother told me a story of his coworker in her early 40s who had cancer throughout her body. She was told without treatment she would live for 4 months. The doctors planned some kind of special radiation treatment where for 72 hours they bombarded the different systems of her body one at a time. 15 years later she is alive and well. Guess how much it cost her? Yep, $0

In listening to a podcast the presenter kept chuckling warmly and interupting the otherwise informative person who was talking. The presenter's creepily patronising and obstructionist mannerisms were precisely like my sister's. Triggered the memories of being abused, shamed, and the attempt at suffocation.

it’s 4am i checked Zoom website so:
if you are removed by the host then you can no longer rejoin with the same device/IP address/account EVEN in future meetings (because it’s always the same link).
The only way is for the host to toggle the settings and allow removed users to “rejoin” and if that doesn’t work then he must contact Zoom staff.
That fucking asshole of a professor just gave me pain in the ass of a problem! fuck him.
It doesn’t even matter if i use the same account, i must buy a new laptop and be in a different house/internet to get a different IP address. FUCK HIM.

I don’t even know what you were listening to, but I think I know exactly what you’re talking about. It can be subtle. To an outside observer who hasn’t seen that pattern of behavior before, they might appear perfectly nice. But, if you've dealt with it long-term, you recognize it; they have this need to control or dominate every conversation.
I read one of the worst things I've ever seen this morning and this place seems appropriate to vent about it.
Fuck you to those who believe that their thoughts, feelings and beliefs should come before someone having a decent quality of life - e.g if you want to go out of your way to insult, or even agree with shitty bills that stop people having basic things like marriage, love and a generally nice life for something that literally does not affect you. It will likely mean nothing to you and yet will be everything to the people you are (at this point) intentionally trying to hurt. Believe what you want, it's your right, but leave other people out of it.
