I'm surprised how long it's stuck with me actually. It's been about a year and a half and i still get moments where i see people smoking and get so envious. To be fair though, i think part of why i still have that is because i'd rather focus my addictive cravings towards cigarettes than one of my worse vices.

it's only been 7 months for me and I do miss it but I had to quit for health reasons I used to enjoy smoking and once in a while I still reach for a cig by habit and remember I quit at least no more cravings

I am really, really late to this... I am still smoking. A lot less during the week (new job and no one-else smokes so am very conscious about the smell on me) but still smoking :(
I've ordered the Allen Carr book - again, as I gave mine to someone who never returned it - but this time I am going to read it slowly and digest everything he says before I move on to the next chapter. So I will keep you posted

Thank you :) the only problem is I CANNNOT stop eating
I quit 7 months ago and i'm trying to lose weight (I have to look at the weight limit on a bridge before I cross lol) but i'm having a hard time not eating so I eat better, still not losing much but a little good luck and I know you have to eat but eat better and it won't be so bad

I wish I could come down with a really long stomach bug or even maybe food poisoning as that's the only way I'll be able to stop stuffing my face.
This made me crack up laughing. Sorry, but that's kinda hilarious. I'm up to about 15lbs gained. I should start looking at it as am accomplishment instead of a failure. haha

I haven't smoked today. I do vape, though. I had quit smoking for a couple of weeks, but then I hung around with my one friend that still smokes. I always want to smoke when I'm with him. But I'm done buying cigarettes. Vaping is a lot cheaper.

quitting smoking is very difficult and you should be proud of your success try not to hang out with people while they're smoking if possible. and don't give up the vape if it's helping, remember it's ok to falter but not fail. I really hope you make it keep us posted

Sad to say that several more packs have been purchased since that one. But my mother's birthday is now behind us, I have none in my bag to finish up. So today I start again.

I have left the vape behind completely now and have been sat around with smokers for a night recently. That was pretty odd. I kept looking at them with a feeling of wonder and disgust. Like "I'd really like to smoke that" mixed with "fuck, that's disgusting". So though not many people know that I have quit, still, because I'm too chicken to look like the utter failure of life that I am.. it's been a while now and I'm pretty good on not falling off the wagon. There's been stress and hanging with people and all sorts of things and it seems okay.
