I have left the vape behind completely now and have been sat around with smokers for a night recently. That was pretty odd. I kept looking at them with a feeling of wonder and disgust. Like "I'd really like to smoke that" mixed with "fuck, that's disgusting". So though not many people know that I have quit, still, because I'm too chicken to look like the utter failure of life that I am.. it's been a while now and I'm pretty good on not falling off the wagon. There's been stress and hanging with people and all sorts of things and it seems okay.
Really well done. I am happy for you. I am going to try quitting the same way you have by going to the vape first and then gradually bring that down too.

That's brilliant! Well done, a massive achievement. You should be very chuffed with yourself :)

Sad to say that several more packs have been purchased since that one. But my mother's birthday is now behind us, I have none in my bag to finish up. So today I start again.
I hope you make it this time, like I've said before it's ok to falter but not to fail. remember it saves money, your health, and possibly your life. if you ever need to talk i'm available for you. I quit for 7 months now and I can tell you it does get easier the longer you've quit. good luck and keep trying. mike

I never did start again. I just - quit. Maybe because I'm in another place and there are no smokers here but I just left it behind. I'm still whining about it on my head - I won't lie - but honestly I don't even obsess about it at all. I think about it at some point every day still but it's something that passes in 10 minutes or less.
I kind of figured I was going to fail.. because well, failure... So I didn't keep up with when I stopped. I guess it was in October some time. I'll have to go back through the thread and look.
