I'm so want to smoke. I'm stressed about so many things right now. I can't even. Can I just have one pack? Just to get through this?
No. Definitely not.
I know that temptation. My mum even offered to go and buy me some when I was staying with her.
But you know it won't just be one pack don't you? One pack will become two, then three...
You've done so well, don't give in now.

What am I supposed to do?!? (that's somewhat rhetorical) I'm literally plucking my beard hairs out by hand! Smoking seems like a much better use of time, and far more effective.

Can you find something to keep your hands busy? Do some crafting? Find a complicated recipe and cook it (there's a reason I've put on 13lbs since I stopped smoking ;) )
This feeling will pass. I know it's so hard, especially when you're stressed.

10 weeks yesterday and today I want a cigarette more than at any point up until now.
erm, no, that's not a very good idea, now is it? Ten weeks is a very long time to just bin off. One could be okay, you're saying in your head but one won't be the end of that. It'll be ten - or twenty. Then that pack will be two. You can do this.

I know. That's exactly what I told Nick above. But I want one.

I've had chocolate instead which has sort of taken the edge off. *Sigh*

People being knobheads and pissing me off. Trying my best not to let them drive me to it as it will only harm me and they won't give a damn
Way back when I was in the early weeks of quitting cigs, I dealt with bad cravings by drinking a big glass of water, chewing some gum, sucking on a lozenge, going for a walk, or a combination of all of the above.

Ten weeks is awesome! Don't let the nitwits ruin your progress!

10 weeks cold turkey. My system ought to be past the physical need for nicotine by now. But the habit was with me for so long, I still find myself wanting one, especially right when I wake up; before I remember that I quit. That's always a disappointing moment.

I've also hung onto the half-full can of Bugler I had when I had the heart attack and quit. It's been sitting in the same spot on the counter this whole time. I don't know why I can't just throw it away. Maybe I haven't fully committed to quitting and I don't wanna have to go to the store when my willpower inevitably breaks.

Does the craving ever stop completely? There's so many triggers it seems a constant struggle to resist. It's been 3 months since I quit, and I know if I can't resist the first one, I won't resist the second, the third......

that is smart to know that if you have 1, more will follow. it really is one of those things it is best to just never have one :)

although there is something enjoyable about smoking i think being able to breath nicely is so much better. i am also less tired and i look better. overall it's just not worth having one. you'll only get like a 30 second buzz then want another, and another, and another.

Yes, it does. I can't remember when exactly but it does stop. Your mind may once in a blue moon think, "What if" but it's just a fleeting thought.

I've not smoked since February 2013, so well over 7 years. I promise you that it is something that is truly worth it and you'll be so much better for it in so many ways :)

That is a fine achievement, 7 years plus, and good to encourage others.
